ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WHEN CAR WAS FIRST BOUGHT THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR BRAKE LIGHT WOULD NOT LIGHT UP. PASSENGER SIDE WOULD. FIGURED IT WAS JUST A BAD BULB. A FEW MONTHS LATER WHEN THE TURN SIGNALS WERE ACTIVATED....THEY WOULD BLINK 4 TIMES THEN FREEZE UP. BOTH DIRECTIONS. 4-WAY FLASHERS WORKED CORRECTLY. A MONTH LATER THE TURN SIGNAL PROBLEM WENT AWAY. TURN SIGNAL STARTED BLINKING NORMALLY. A COUPLE WEEKS AGO I TRIED TO FIX THE BRAKE LIGHT PROBLEM. UP UNTIL THEN THE PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE LIGHT WORKED NORMALLY WHILE THE DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE LIGHT WOULD NOT LIGHT UP WHEN BRAKE WAS PRESSED. WHEN BRAKE WAS PRESSED NOT ONLY WOULD THE DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE LIGHT NOT GO ON BUT THE DRIVERS SIDE PARKING LIGHT WOULD GO OUT. I EXCHANGED THE PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE BULB WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE BULB AND THEN BOTH THE PASSENGER SIDE BRAKE LIGHT AND THE DRIVERS SIDE BRAKE LIGHT STOPPED WORKING. WHEN I RETURNED THE BULBS TO THEIR ORIGINAL SIDES THEY BOTH CONTINUED TO NOT WORK. LAST WEEK I TOOK THE CAR TO A MECHANIC TO FIND OUT WHY THE BRAKE LIGHTS WEREN'T WORKING CORRECTLY. AT THAT TIME ALL LIGHTS ON THE CAR WERE WORKING PROPERLY EXCEPT THAT WHEN YOU PRESSED ON THE BRAKE THE DRIVERS SIDE AND PASSENGER BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD NOT LIGHT UP AND THE DRIVERS SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE PARKING LIGHTS WOULD GO OUT WHEN THE BRAKE WAS DEPRESSED. HE CHECKED ALL THE BULBS AND FUSES....AND RAN CONTINTUITY CHECKS AND CHECKED ALL THE GROUNDS. HE SAID EVERYTHING WAS GOOD AND THAT HE THOUGHT THE PROBLEM WAS A BAD MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH, TURN SIGNAL/WIPER ASSEMBLY. THAT NIGHT I NOTICED THAT THE INTERIOR DOME LIGHT WASN'T COMING ON WHEN THE DOORS WERE OPENED. IT WOULD COME ON IF IT WAS TURNED ON MANUALLY. I SET THE SWITCH ON THE LIGHT SO THAT IT WOULD TURN ON WHEN THE DOORS WERE OPENED AS WELL. THE NEXT DAY THE INTERIOR DOME LIGHT STOPPED TURNING ON WHEN THE DOORS WERE OPENED BUT CONTINUED TO WORK WHEN DONE MANUALLY. I ORDERED A USED SWITCH ON-LINE HOPING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM AS HE DIAGNOSED IT TO BE. THE PART CAME AND WHEN I PUT IT IN YESTERDAY, EVERYTHING WORKED AS IT SHOULD, BRAKE LIGHTS WERE THEN WORKING, EXCEPT THAT NOW NONE OF THE PARKING LIGHTS, FRONT OR REAR, OR THE LOW BEAMS WORKED. THE HIGH BEAMS WOULD WORK THOUGH. SO I WAS THINKING THAT I HAD BOUGHT A BAD USED SWITCH BUT WHEN I TOOK IT OUT AND REPLACED IT WITH THE OLD ONE....NOTHING CHANGED. THE BRAKE LIGHTS WORKED BUT THE PARKING LIGHTS AND LOW BEAMS CONTINUED TO NOT WORK WHILE THE HIGH BEAMS WOULD WORK. THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM HAD CHANGED. THAT'S WHERE IT STANDS NOW.

You have a bad connection at the rear passenger side turn signal. It is either the connection is corroded or a wire is loose on the ground side of the circuit.

2007 Dodge RAM My rear running lights work. Drivers rear brake light and third brake light work, but passenger rear brake light does not work. Lights are LED.

You have a short in the cross over wire. Almost all cars and trucks have one main break wire with a second wire "y" in off to the passenger side . You could just wire in a cross over and disconnect the old one.

There is a module on the passenger side behind the rear wheel mounted to the body. It goes bad. On the drivers side is where the grounds are located, on or close to the frame. Check these first.

WHEN CAR WAS FIRST BOUGHT THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR BRAKE LIGHT WOULD NOT LIGHT UP. PASSENGER SIDE WOULD. FIGURED IT WAS JUST A BAD BULB.

If all your lights and signals are working properly, just the one brake light is not working more than likely its a bad ground wire to that specific light I'm not sure if your technically inclined or not, but to pull out the light and test it for continuity, other wise if you don't have a meter to test with there are only 2 wires for that light carefully splice the ground wire and ground it to the body of the car, also make sure to have a fresh bulb in the socket. Then press on the brake and see if it lights up, if the bulb blows out then you have a short circuit somewhere and need to take it to a professional

I have the same problem with my 1991 honda accord. The brake light on the driver side works but the passenger side and the back window brake light doesn't. It's not a fuse problem. I've check them all. It...

I assume you have replaced the lamps/globes with new ones, if not this is the first thing to try.
If your car is fitted with a "faulty light" sensor, ( i.e. if a warning light on the dashboard comes on when you apply the brake and a brake light bulb is not working), this may be the problem. Follow the wiring for the rear lights from the light clusters inside the trunk and you may find the wiring harness plugged into an encapsulated unit in the rear somewhere. Test if power is coming out of this unit when brakes are applied. Or, remove the covers on the brake light clusters from inside the car and check the wiring to the rear window brake light. Very often this is connected to the same ground as the drivers side light. However, the parking and tail and reversing lights usually work off the same ground, so this seems unlikely.

Passenger side brake light does not work. I

There might be something wrong with the electrical connector behind the panel on the drivers side in the rear... check there with a test light.
Check your light socket in the rear with a test light while having someone pulse the brake up front so you can see if you have brake current there.
If you have brake current at the socket check your ground there and your connections.
The brake circuit in that car is the same on the right left and third stop... you have orange turn signals so the brake lights there are single purpose.
Look for the problem with your test light... you will find it and it is located in the rear of the vehicle... not up front.

Buick Regal 93 Light/window electrical problems.

start with the basics... check the bulbs... then the fuses.... after that use a multimeter to see if power is going to the lights that are not working.... bad grounds will cause the lights to be dim or not work.
