Temp sensor near thermostat with a wire connector tells your gauge reading or go to salvage yard to replace your temp gauge..

Possibly not a fuse, could be a cable.

Why are all gauges on dash not working.only fuel guage

Usually when these Gauges go out it is because of a faulty BCM( Body Control Module) The BCM controls all dash instruments . If it is the BCM you will have to get a dealership to flash the new one. Before doing that though check all fuses under hood and inside. It should say gauges or BCM

Which fuse is for temperature gauge on dashboard

  • The temperature gauge is not on a fuse of its own, it would work with all the instruments, ie fuel gauge, warning lights etc. If the temp gauge does not work and the fuel gauge does,, look for the problem elsewhere such as the sender unit on the engine. A quick check is to remove the wire from the sensor unit on the engine and short it out to ground. If the gauge picks up, replace the sensor unit.
  • Otherwise, check the wire itself for breaks, or bad connections.

The temperature gauge in my ford festiva 1995 does not work. Is it relatively easy to replace the sensor and if so where is it located in this car? Thanks

Ground the temperature gauge wire to the engine using a jumper wire, then watch the temperature gauge needle. If the gauge now reads Hot, replace the temperature sending unit. Check the fuse for the temperature gauge circuit. If the fuse is good, check for voltage at the ignition terminal on the gauge with turn the ignition key to the "on" position. Using a voltmeter. If there is no voltage, there is a problem in the circuit between the ignition key and the gauge or the fuse panel and the gauge temperature. Fix the problem and test again. If there is voltage, replace the gauge.

Guages not working,

If all voltages checked ok,then most probably its faulty instrument cluster board on which gauges are connected.Yes if cluster circuit board looks ok,then also it can be faulty.Somewhere there is minute short or burn on board then such prolem arises.
Also check the fuse box.One under hood and other under dash.Inspect each and every fuse and see if all are fine or not.

Cruise control on ford taurus with a 3.2 SHO engine is not working. my temperature gauge also quit working.

Crusie Control - is vacuum and electonically controlled: 1. either a broken vacuum line or the switch, fuse or relay is bad. start with vacuum hoses (get a diagram; CHILTON repair manual); then the relay, then the switch. This can be diagnosed by a technician (suggested first)
As far as the temperature gauge: First start by letting the engine run for about 15-20 minutes so the engine will reach operating temperature. Feel the top radiator hose; if it's hot, then this means the thermostat is still good. If it is not, replace the thermostat (and gasket). The temperature gauge is not working because the sensor has stopped working. These are located on the engine block on the top or on the radiator itself near the bottom (on either side of the radiator).
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

My temp gauge is not going and the fans are coming VW golf 2004

Hi, the fans are controlled from the engine ECU. The ECU recieves a signal fron the temperature sender unit which will then switch on the fans. The sender unit also controls the temperature gauge. Have a look at the fuses before you replace the temp sender unit as it might be a blown fuse. Most of the circuits are intergrated and running through different fuses. I hope this helps.
