Trans light comes onn car runs bad.light goes off runs great

Code 24 is a vehicle speed signal sensor fault, the sensor most likely does not provide a useable signal until about 25 MPH, when the computer doesn't see any signal after that speed it turns on the light. Make sense?

if its a manual your clutch is prob going bad and needs to be checked/replaced. if its an automatic you need to get your timing and gear ratio checked. Over time the timing and gear ratio may alter a little bit but if it changes too much it can cause the problem that you are having and can possible lead to much worse.

check out the neutral saftey switch on trans, if its reporting unknown gear on scanner while moving t bar it wont know what gear to be in and give you similar problems, also has oil been leaking into switch before?
