Remove the four screws holding the cover on the electronic portion and as you prise open the casing,very gently and only slightly you will be greeted with a cup of engine oil,you need a new throttle body

SOURCE: Check the accelerator position sensor on the pedal!

If this is what I think it is, on the 3.5 Lit V6, you have an APS (Accelerator Position Sensor) and a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). The accelerator pedal cable is NOT directly connected to the throttle body plate, it's connected to the APS. The APS sends its signal to the ETSCM (Electronic Throttle System Control Module) which in turn activates the ETS Motor located on the throttle body which opens/closes the throttle plate/butterfly. It's a very sofisticated electronic system. Both the APS and the TPS are known to go bad and simply replacing them is no guarantee of fixing problems in this system (often times it does, and frequently it doesn't). You should first verify there is a problem with these sensors (APS and or TPS). They are basic potentiometers (two circuits in each) which provide data to the computer regarding throttle opening for LOAD calculations (ignition timing, fuel injector pulse width, cruise control operation, etc). Best you have this system diagnosed by a professional technician who knows the system.

there is no adjustment on these tps's it's a drive by wire system. If you don't know the vehicle, dont post!
there's 2 sensors contained in the pedal sensor, and one on the throttle plate shaft, more often than not, it's the pedal sensor, and if you replaced that, it's the other one or a loose connection. did you reset the computer after replacing the pedal?

typical problem, replace the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) it is located directly opposite of the throttle cables on the throttle body. 2 bolts save the bolts for the love of god SAVE THE BOLTS they are "trilobal" and come verry much in handy later. but it is an easy 10 minute fix and if my memory is correct they are torx head bolts from factory.

I changed everything on a 2007 Chevy uplander the camshaft position sensor And the purged sensor And the throttle body and still the check engine light and the reduce engine power came back on

Here is what the code is. I believe it is also called a TPS (throttle position sensor). On most carburetors it is on the side opposite the throttle linkage. You can take it off and test it with an ohm meter. All it is is a variable resister (like a volume knob on a radio) as it turns it changes resistance and that info is sent to the computer witch in turn tells the computer what position your throttle is.
On most cars it is an easy thing to change out and not very expensive. Good luck

No messaage of reduced engine power ? Your vehicle has electronic throttle control . Has four position sensors , two are located in the gas pedal ,an two in the throttle body . The PCM uses these sensor to know how much to open the throttle plate ,allowing more air into the engine . How did you read this code an where did you read it's definition at ? This is not a code for your vehicle . Some time cheap code readers get them wrong .

Flickering light's could be caused by a bad diode in the alternator . Fluctuating idle could be caused same alternator problem or dirty throttle plate.
