Run fault codes and check for faults . Don't guess as that costs dollars

It is always best to start simple on a lot of these things. This code indicates that somewhere in the evaporative system you have a leak that has set off the code. The gas cap is the most common culprit and that is where I would start. Buy a new gas cap and put it on. It may and should solve your problem. A lot of gas caps have rubber seals that do wear out over time. If this does not solve your problem simply use a search engine and type in p0441 a wealth of information will pop up. There are other possible causes and solutions but that's where I would start (with the gas cap)

SOURCE: 2000 Hyundai Accent plug gap

Under the hood you will find a white sticker, about 2-3 inches wide. On it will have the engine size/group and the spark plug gap and other service information. Good luck

SOURCE: 96 model hyundai excel stalls

we had a hyundai once, that stopped and started for no apparent reason , after much looking at and mechanics it turned out to be some butterfly or non return valves leading from the fuel pump to the engine. they were closing up and stopping fuel from passing through , might be the same kind of thing . hope this helps

I changed fuel pump and purge valve on 2003 Hyundai Elantra car still just cranks over but won't start

Remove one of the spark plugs and check to see if it is getting spark. If it is not getting spark then you have a ignition problem.

I have a 1999 hyundai accent and the car stalls when driveing it, is their a fuse that controlls the spark for the timming on the engine. We have already changed the coil pack, sparkplug wires and the...

No ,,No fuse controling spark,,Your coil pack on top of motor could be cracked and causeing this or your fuel filter, or fuel pump, you could get a pressure test done to your pump at a garage,Check your spark plugs, change them if you can, change the fuel filter a good place to start,,,,,,,,,,,,Also is there a check engine lite on in the dash cluster? If so go to Auto Zone parts store and get a code scan done its free,,than they will give you a print out of the codes and what needs to be replaced,,most vehecles in the 90,s have or need 02 sensors that control your air fuel mixture,,,were talking gas mileage here.

Changing the pump doesn't affect the spark so lets start a that the beginning?? Why was the pump replaced and was it running fine before changing the pump? Also plugs could be fouled as well but if it was working fine before the fuel pump it will be fine afterwards if getting gas and the fuel pump was the problem., Also how did you verify no spark??

2001 hyundai, accent, fuel pump shuts off when putting in gas

fuel pump DOES NOT SHUT OFF.... you have a purge control solenoid valve that's sticking 'OPEN' an sucking raw fuel into the intake manifold... REPLACE THE PURGE CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE.
