Clicking starter=car not starting

2002 Deville. Lights, bells all go on. Just clicking, car will not turn over.
Battery is 3 months old.
Jump started the car. Took car to mechanic three weeks ago, said it was a lose cable to the battery. Ran digostics, that's all that it read.
Yesterday, had to jump start the car again, this time mechanic is thinking needs new starter. Did not have time to put in. I took car home, it started fine.
Car dead again this morning. Yesterday and today after I sat in the car trying to start it the service security system light went on. Sometimes it gives me random readings to service air bags, service Suspension Sytem also. Not sure the security light issue is the problem.
I just tried starting it again, and it made no clicking sound, just dead. A quiet clicking noise sounds like under the hood without trying to start car.
Have any suggestions of what the problem may be? Thanks. tried starting my car this morning, and it almost turned over, and just clicked as i had the key turned to start it, keeps doing this, what could be the problem?

Regardless of the battery age, sounds to me as if you have a drain on the electrical system First thing to do is completely recharge battery. An initial quick inspection might show a light staying on, whether it be a door , reading, glove box, or trunk lights, among many other things. If nothing is obvious an electical reading of the system while removing and reinstalling fuses will show the circuit causing the drain, Hope this helps

I bought a new battery but my car still wouldnt start

You may have a defective starter solenoid, this is the common symptom, a click and no engine turn over. Have a shop diagnose this before any parts are replaced but i feel sure the starter solenoid is the problem here. The solenoid is mounted to the top of the starter motor which is bolted into the transmission's bell housing.

2002 caddilac deville no dash lights and car won't start

Do you have any other lights, such as door lights or head and tail lights? If not the first thing I would check is the battery cable terminals. Over time corrosion will build up on the inside of the terminal lugs and not make contact. Even if they look clean from the top, I would still take them off and give them a good cleaning with a wire brush.

The second thing I would do is try a jump start. This tells you a lot, whether it starts or not. If it starts, it tells you that the problem is in your battery or alternator or starter relay or even a fuse. If it doesn't start, then it is probably something with the engine keeping the starter lugged down.

Car was rinning perfect. One day it would not start. there was nothing, no clicking ,bell and guages were working. Jump start was nothing. Installed a new battery there was nothing. Went bact back 2 hours...

It sounds like you have an issue with your PassLock security system. I had the same with my 2002 Impala. Key turns OK, but won't start, won't crank. Wait 20-30 minutes, and car starts normally. There is usually a clue from the Battery and Security lights.
The problem starting to happen once a month, and eventually 1-2 times a week.
There are several write-ups on this problem for several GM cars for 2000-2006(?). Search this website, and search the web.
The official solution is to replace the ignition switch. The best solution is to bypass the Pass Lock system. I went ahead and did a full bypass, which involves cutting wires and adding resistors to the ignition circuit. I have not had a problem since.

The ignition turn and the relay click the starter don't turn

Sounds like the starter mtr is at fault if you lightly tap with a hammer while holding key in the start position it may try to turn over..if it does turn over then starter needs replaced

Cutlass supreme wont start

It could possibly be the starter, but before you get that far make sure the Battery cables are connected very tight. If loose the car won't start or do anything. Also make sure the battery cable is grounded.
