Trunk will not open with button

G35 infiniti trunk will not open

same as above... trunk will not open with remote or switch. WTF. Love the car though so I can't be mad

There should be a yellow lever inside the trunk near the back seat that you can pull. You will need to lower the back of the back seat, and stick your head in there and look up. Pull the yellow emergency lever and the trunk should open. It is mandatory to have one in case a child accidently locks themselves in the trunk. Once you get the trunk open, make sure the valet switch near the trunk latch didn't inadvertently get depressed. It should be either on the decklid on the latch or in the trunk itself below or next to the latch reciever. it should be a slide type switch that you can lift up or press down. Also make sure the trunk lock out button inside the glove box didn't accidently get pressed. Hope this helps

You may have a broken wire or two, if you pop your trunk using you emergency latch and to the right you will see a plastic hosing next to the hinges. check to see if a wire is not connected.
Don't pay anyone at the dealer when you can do it ya self

on the left side of the steering wheel. if you reach bellow in plain sight. there should be a few control switches. if i remember correctly there is there. there is one that says VTC. and to the left of the button. there is a switch. that is the trunk popper switch. slide the button down and it will open the trunk.

We finally flipped the glove compartment trunk switch (found on the left side inside the glove compartment) to 'on' then the trunk switch by the driver seat worked. We could not tell the trunk switch in the glove compartment was an on/off switch, we just kept searching and finding,

The wires that go from the body to the trunk lid are broken, the wires are located inside the rubber boot that connects between trunk and the car. very common problem.
