I have a 2002 kia sportage 2 door 40 5 speed I was wandering if anyone knew how to take off the rear bumper on side is sticking out a little and I wanted to take it off to see if one of the mounting bolts are broken but I'm not sure where to find them or how to get to them. Please help :-) thanks

The easiest way for you to do that is to find on the new bumpers where the fixing points are (try to look for little holes, like where do screws go, or clips, even on the inner parts) and then try to locate them on the existing bumpers and remove them. After that, remove the old bumpers and instal the new ones by the exactly same steps.
May want to check the throttle cable. Sounds like it is sticking. You can spray sum WD-40 on it that usually helps. The throttlecable is the piece that moves when the gas pedal is pressed. Near the intake on top of engine normally.
FIND ANOTHER MECHANIC!!!!!!!! No REAL mechanic would tell you that. Your steering should have NO play in it. (Over time a little) Have your steering box checked
