THE PROBLM IS THE SWITCH ITS'SELF.YOU NEED A NEW ONE.IF YOU HAVE TO USE THE TRUCK FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME BEFORE YOU CAN GET A SWITCH YOU CAN JUST CHANGE THE WIREING IN THE PLUG TO MAKE THE TRUCK LOW BEAM ONLY INSTEAD OF HIGH BEAM ONLY.FIND THE WIRE THAT COMES LIVE WITH YOUR SWITCH IN THE HEADLIGHT PLUG AND USEINGING A VERY SMALL FLAT SCREWDRIVER INSERTED FROM THE REAR ,IT WILL UNANCHOR.THEN JUST SWAP IT SIDE TO SIDE.

your dimmer switch is at fault. Its location is on the sheering coluum shaft behind the dash in front of the firewall by the brake pedal area

maybe a fuse the fuse box is under the drivers side passenger seat . sometimes ive seem them get something spilled on them and i had to wiggle the fuses to clear the corrosion
