SOURCE: Mazda Tribute. Water leak under driver's feet. Had

Generally, water on the passenger side is the A/C drain tube.
Driver side generally means widshield or sun roof seal leak.
Did you wash the Mazda or did it rain prior to puddling?
Before disassembling the windshield seal, test ... with a water hose (Remove floormat and place a towel on newspapers on the driver's side floor).
There is a "smoke" test" that can more accurately find the leak. See if you local AutoZone will rent one (maybe free) to you.

Testimonial: "Thanks. Relieved it's not likely to be a/c. It has just rained for the first time for a month so will investigate further."

Where is the Coolant ECT Senor and my Thermostat on a 2005 Mazda Tribute . I know it's a 2.3 Liter V-6

If its a 2.3 it should be a 4 cyl. The V6 engine is a 3.0 cu in.
The thermostat should be under the housing where the upper radiator hose connects, and the sensor should be nearby.
If the thermostat is not in the upper housing check the lower radiator hose connection.

Where is DPFE sensor 2002 mazda tribute V-6

Between the engine and firewall. there is a metal tube that connects to the exhaust manifold and the EGR valve. EGR is close to the throttle body. On this tube you will see two other tubes coming off it, with rubber hoses attached. On the other end of the rubber hoses is the DPFE sensor. It has an electrical plug, wit two wires.

Hissing noise from enging

If the plastic box is located on the intake manifold, and the air filter tube leads to it, it is the mass air flow sensor. If it is located on the firewall, (about 3-4 inches long, 2-3 inches wide) it is the map sensor. If it is part of the emissions system, it is your charcoal canister. This box is larger (sometimes a car battery size)
