Everyone has their ideas about saving oil, here I would like share mine.
1.Reprogram your ECU
There is nothing you can do about the increasing oil prices, but you can take control over how much gas the vehicles use by reprogramming the ECU chip. Statistics show that with ECU chip tuning tool, fuel economy is improved more than 20 percent. In addition, it will also improve the power of your vehicle up to 35% at the same time. An ECU chip programmer
2.Clean your engine
It is important to keep your engine and compartment clean, as a clean engine helps the engine run cooler, which will help reduce oil usage in return. Besides, engine cleaning also makes you spot signs of trouble before they get out of hand and become a more expensive repair.
3.Turn down your thermostat
It is important to ensure that the thermostat in your car is not set too high and that it is accurate. It has been proved that accurate system controls can save money by reducing heat wastage.

When I asked how hot 70,000 BTUs can get meant in like 30 degrees f or 10 degrees c, so what temperature does 70,000 BTUs get to?

I DON'T KNOW. MY OLDE NATURAL GAS FURNACE WAS 70,000 BTU [ MAYBE 65 % EFFICIENT]. IT DID GREAT, HEATING MY HOME IN WINTER HERE IN CANADA. EFFICIENCY FOR ELECTRIC IS HIGH.
IF CONSIDERING USING NATURAL GAS OR PROPANE, PLEASE CHOOSE HIGHEST EFFICIENCY
RATING AVAILABLE. MORE MONEY UP FRONT BUT
LOWER HEATING COSTS FOREVER.

In Qatar during afternoon when I start my car with AC on after 4 to 5km suddenly my accelerator wont rise and car comes to halt with engine running

very old post. but zero'd answers.
what Honda, what year.
The country of Qatar, Natural gas city.
106F ave, Aug. high, but now its cool , today.
my guess is this:
it overheated. stalls, the engine, i bet you fixed it already.
On newer Honda's it cuts off the AC when the engine overheats
saving the engine (maybe)
on my Chevy, it cuts cylinders. and for sure saves the engine.

wow:
As of 2012, Qatar has proven oil reserves of 15 billion barrels and gas fields that account for more than 5% of the global resource, it is the richest per-capita state in the world. None of its population of about 1.9-million lives below the poverty line and less than 1% is unemployed.[90]

I was wondering if u possibly knew y everytime I went 2 the pump an got gas as 2 y I had an experience of sometimes getting bad gas? It didnt always happen but it happened 2 me yesterday at the pump an now...

Stop by any good parts store (Autozone, Advance, etc..) and have them reset your light. They do this FREE. If it does come back on, then you do have a problem and it's not just "bad gas"

I have 3 buttons by my gear shift.(auto) they are S, W, E. what are these button for. I notice when i have the W pushed in i save on gas. Thank you for your time

" S W and E" are Sport,Winter, and Economy. In "S" your car should change gears at a higher RPM allowing for quicker acceleration. In "W" your car should shift so that it puts out more torque and maintains a better grip on the road in slippery conditions and is generally not used for high speed driving. Winter mode was the precursor to traction control. In "E" your car should shift at normal RPM this mode is designed to save your gas. I'm not sure exactly why your saving gas in W, but Volvo has allot of electronics in their transmissions. If you are not the original owner of the car, the trans may have needed electrical service and the switches were hooked back up wrong. If you want to confirm this try using the other modes and see what the car dose. If the tranny dose not preform as I described above that may be the case. Also consult your owner's manual. If you don't have one e-mail me [email protected] and I can help you out. I have a 1994 940 base (non turbo) wagon that has been family owned and still has the original owner's manual. Good luck and happy "Bricking"

2000 9-5 wagon 2.3L turbo. trouble light comes on and engine temp gauge goes high after about 5 miles of driving (winter with heat on). coolant level full; overflow tank backing up. could it be stuck...

For the amount of money it will cost it would be worth changing the thermostat anyway. They aren't very expensive and reasonably easy to repair.
Water pump replacements are more expensive AND more work. Try the cheaper one first as thermostats are known to wear out.
If the overflow tank is backing up it will be because the safety valve built into the water pump is diverting built up pressure.

Can seem to smell fuel after the car is driven. The check engine light came and the car seems to struggle to move when starting to drive and when going up a hill. Once acceleration starts there is no...

It's most definitely your fuel pump, needs to be replaced, it will cost you a little bit, around 150 for the fuel pump itself if you get it new which i suggest, and you're losing fuel, which makes you spend more money on gas, so in the long run you're saving money, as for the labor cost, that depends on the mechanic, because they do have to drop the gas tank. hope it helps.

Does the 2006 toyota camry require special windshield fluid or will water do?

washer fluid had cleaning agent to keep your windshield clean and clear. water will not and will freeze up in the winter time if you live in the cold area.

Starting problem

Hard to say depending on when the last complete tune up has been done. It coud be related to the ongoing maintenance or to a specific problem.
Generally speaking, in preparation to the winter, with a car of this generation I would replace spark plugs, wiring, distributor cap and rotor, air filter, gas filter, oil. I would check and clean battery terminal connections and have the battery check (check under load). Check is the engine temp is ok and replace thermostat if needed. But once again it's by prevention and you will get your money back saving trouble and saving on gas. This is the first thing I'll recommend anyway.
Hope it will help

Can i use a diffenent battery than the one it says as long as it is about the same size. this is to save money of course. i have a 2005 htundai elantra

Measure the size of your current battery including height. Height is critical because if it is too high it will hit the hood and ground out. It will also have to fit the hole where it sits. The other important size is CCA which is "cold cranking amps". This number should be 500 as a minimum, especially if you live where winter is cold. This is lokely a higher rating than your current battery but in battery terms bigger is better. It will last longer and start more reliably in winter and shouldn't cost that much more than the one that is in there now. Hope this helps.
