I have a 1979 gibson house boat it has 2 dodge 318 engines i need the complete wiring diagrams for these motors from the batteries to the key ignition ,the coil, alternator,voltage regulator,distributor,starter etc. My key ignition went bad and one of my starters got stuck on, engaged to the fly wheel. This overloaded my whole electrical system by the time i got the batteries disconnected the battery cables were red hot.I have burnt up coils,alternator,eveything.I have to run all new wire,basically I need an engine wiring harnass or a complete wiring diagram so I can make one myself
Why not eBay? you may be able to find a "lightly" used harness from an appropriate dodge or Chrysler product that uses your engines?
Try for a Repair manual or electrical repair segment for an appropriate Chrysler product with your engine.

looked at close-up photo of engine posted on web. Or take out plug to # 1 cylinder, put finger over hole, turn over engine utill you feel compression, then stick pencil in hole and keep turning engine untill pencil reaches highest point. that should be TDC. look to see where rotor is- thats #1.

V8s are 18436572 going clockwise number 1 should be marked on cap or closest tower facing you standing at the rad
