If you get the message no phone then it may be just needed to get into the menu and activate it . Have a radio / phone shop have a look at it to get exact advice.

I have tried to get to a menue,bt the instuctions I found on the web seem to indicate the need for a touch screen system, which I do not have. Were can I get the instructions for activating bluetooth?

  • Bill Boyd Nov 08, 2013

The menu I was refering to is found by using the mode button on the radio unit. If you have a source button that will bring up fm--usb--bluetooth and you use other buttons to set the bluetooth

SOURCE: How can we tell if

Hi

Many of the earlier jaguars cars will have the pre-wiring installed but not the phone option. If you have Bluetooth installed. Hold the radio button marked with a phone phone.giffor about a second, the display will change to indicate xxxxx or 'No Phone'. If the latter is the case then it is most likely that you do not have the option installed

Based on your VIN number, your car has the wiring to implement the bluetooth module. The Jaguar part number is C2N 3689, but please check with your dealer to confirm that it is possible.

Where can I locate the engine number of Jaguar x type v6?

Use the eighth digit of the VIN and that will tell you which engine is in the car. There should also be an emission sticker under the hood that will have engine size documented.

I replaced mt battery on my 2004 jaguar x-type and the radio is locked i bought the car second hand so i dnt know the radio code and the factory code isnt working. what can i do

Simple contact you local Jag dealership and ask them, they will need the VIN No and there is a small charge (about £8). Then follow the instructions on http://www.bluejag.co.uk to enter code.

"No Phone" in 2003 Jaguar X-Type

I do not have my manual in front of me, but certain VIN numbers do not have the bluetooth installed in the car. I have a 2003 Jaguar X-Type and I have a phone button, but my VIN number was not in the range of jaguars that came equipped with the bluetooth. You can get a phone that has bluetooth and test to see if it finds a bluetooth device (your Car Phone Device).

Where could i get a replacement locking wheel nut or who could get my wheel off ?

Hi if the wheel nuts are genuine jaguar then phone the dealer and give them the car registration and vin plate number they may be able to get you a copy.

Hope this helps, they are normaly about £30 but I have never bought this part from jaguar so prices may differ

I just bought a 2003 jaguar x type and want to connect my phone to the car as bluetooth/handfree how do i do that?

Have you contacted jaguar to be sure the car is wired?
Just because there is a phone symbol on the stereo means nothing.
They all have that.
Go to Jaguars web site and email them with you cars VIN number and ask if the car has been prewired.
they will get back to you in about in 2 days and let you know.
If it has been prewired you can get it set up for a price, if not, you are out of luck.

Need more info

Hi Celina
I have done a bit of research, your s type may not have the bluetooth fitted, here is a good site for any questions for your jaguar. http://forums.roadfly.com/forums/jaguar/jaguar_s_type/6924688-1.html
The link is a person who wants to add bluetooth to his jag, follow the thread it sounds like an expensive option$1500. Your phone maybe compatible bit only if you have the option fitted.
hope this helps

HOW DO I SET UP CELL PHONE TO USE IN CAR?

OK - If you are getting the SIG instead of Phone connected in the X Type - You need to enter the code - for the 2007 X Type, the Code is ##3#*# - Which should then say waiting and finally SIG ****** which means it is connectable - To pair your phone, goto bluetooth and pair device, wait until the Jaguar is found. When prompted for the numerical code it is 1313
