It means there is a leak in the e vac system

Looks like you need a vent solenoid . EVAP Code P0449

Could be minor problem with vacuum lines leaking, bad gas cap, bad purge valve, etc. Worth fixing is a call based on everall condition of car, but this could be very minor.

2006 chevy avalanche just had it checked and code PO442 where is the canister located in the event the gas cap is okay

PO442 --small leak somewhere in EVAP System

Make sure the gas cap is on tight

Otherwise have the evap system smoke tested
& vacuum hose leaks or solenoids replaced

PO302 misfire # 2 cyclinder, PO241,boost pressure circuit low, PO442 evap has small leak, The misfire is the code you need to verify first, if you want to fix it yourself your best bet is to replace the sparkplug and inspect the soil boot for and burn through marks(whitish)then take the #2 COP and swap it with another COP and see if the misfire moves if the misfire moves replace the COP,as for the PO442 tighten or replace the gas cap

this is a evaporative emissions code. which means there is a leak in the piping or something leading to the gasoline tank that is allowing fuel vapors to escape. More often than not the gas cap isn't tight or needs to be replaced. try these first
