I have a 2006 Suzuki Verona with the code P0400. Ive replaced the EGR valve, cleared the code, and drove it. I got 23 miles the first go around and the code posted again. Cleared the code and checked for leaks around the EGR valve and found a leak. I applied red rtv to both sides of the gasket and allowed to cure for 48 hours. No more leaks around the EGR valve. Cleared the code and drove again. Made it just over 40 miles and the engine light came back on again. I have no other codes posting. The exhaust shows no signs of having a leak. I cannot see any carbon build up on either of the two aluminum lines coming from the egr valve. What should I do next? Is there more than just the two lines coming from the EGR Valve that can possibly be clogged?

SOURCE: I have a 2001 suzuki xl7, I replaced egr unit and

You may have a EGR valve plugged exhaust gas passage, so when it is opened the systems computer doesn't see any change in the O2 signal voltage. To check this manually pull open the EGR valve, the engine should run very rough and will stall out most times, if you open the valve up and see no change in the engine idle the passages are plugged with carbon and must be cleaned. As long as you have this EGR problem the car will not pass smog.

SOURCE: the code on 2005 suzkui forenza is p2279 say i have a vaclum leak and to change egr gasket have done that and still the vaclum leak its said i have any way to fine the leak

The code is for an intake leak, not just the EGR valve.
In most cases the leak is the hose to the valve cover or one of the hoses to one of the sensors is damaged.
Check the hoses, and if you replace anything make sure you disconnect the battery to clear the memory of the computer.

99 maxima ran till it was parked now it turns over will not start gave code p0400 any ideas

The fault is somewhere around the EGR valve - probably the EGR valve or the throttle position sensor.

Before replacing any sensors try removing and cleaning the EGR.

After you have made the repairs go back to Advance Auto and have them remove this stored trouble code .Most places will remove them from your computer for free.

Two codes p0400 and p0325

could be leak around throttlebody gasket or lose hose or cracked. take carb cleaner and spray around the throttle body to intake manifold and see if the engine variates in idle. if so you have a leak.
