2014 Kia Sorento LX is running a bit rough, exhaust is smelly and error codes

THE CAR NEEDS SERVICE, GET SOME?
no country of VIN told , no engine told. guess at V6 I will, 3.3L
that o2 heater is dead. or the 4wires to the oxy sensor are burned up on the exh. pipe. toss coin or better just look at it.
sensor #2 is behind the CAT. and is bad.
you posted no engine told at all, and is a 100% engine question.
S1 is always front of CAT, S2 is rear.
upstream or down stream, (S1 /S2 order)
B1 bank 1 means that bank that has cylinder #1 there.
on the 4 banger #1 is front of engine a belt drive end.
on a V6 , the #1 cylinder is most front (it's off set to bank2)
3.3L back bank row is B1. (drivers end)
so bank1 s2 is that exhaust manifold rear that goes to cat #1 and the rear of cat 1 is B1, sensor S2 rear of cat.
the heater circuit side never lies,it means the voltage or current flow to that heater is dead wrong. open/ or shorted heater or its wires to it.

the gen 3 car? 2014
engine line up is here.

2.0 L Theta II T-GDi I4
2.4 L Theta II MPi I4
2.4 L Theta II GDi I4

3.3 L Lambda II GDi V6
3.5 L Lambda II MPi V6
Diesel:
2.0 L R II CRDi I4
2.2 L R II CRDi I4

keep in mind my answers are USA only
and USA EPA. DICTATES CAT LAY OUT AND DESIGNS.
SOME CARS RUN Y PIPE TO A SINGLE CAT. V6

well bank 2 is the bank that does not have cylinder #1
and all V6 (V_n) the cylinder 1 most front, off set. to the front.
the front means nearest crank pulleys.

Discovery 3 / LR3 (2004-2009)?

2007 Kia Sportage V6 02 sensor

2.7 L Delta V6
ASE names are clear. (OBD2 rules too USA)
b 1 is always on bank one so b2 is bank 2.
bank 1 is always cylinder #1 side
cylinder 1 is always the one offset forward.
S1 is always most front sensor, called up stream
S2 is always most rear (of CAT) called down stream.
so S2 B2, is bank 2, rear of cat.
the S2 is only used for CAT monitor testing, not for engine fuel rates as S1B1,S1B2 does.(both banks)
cars with Y pipe exhaust may 3 sensors and only 1 rear.(shared)

the SM service manual covers al that.
the way to cheat is easy <\called googling
and we google delta v6
2.7L (G6BA engine firing order) but I will do the SM for you, online
2.7L engine firing order: 1-2-3-4-5-6
bank 2 is other bank.
so
YOU facing the crank pulley you #1 is left bank front.
so bank 2 is right. bank. so S2 is rear sensor right side facing the engine crank pulley

googling was faster online SM is slug day. 1hr to get 1 page.

so using the map, B2 S2 is farthest point away from#6
P=pulley. S2 is down stream of CAT bank2

How many O2 sensors total does a 2006 Jeep Liberty have?

NO engine told
USA spec car?, not told
called the KJ jeep in USA.
first Jeep to use the two then-new PowerTech engines; the 150 horsepower (110 kW) 2.4 L straight-4, which was discontinued in 2006,
and the 210 horsepower (160 kW) 3.7 L V6, as well as a short-lived 2.8 L VM Motori turbo diesel (2005-2006 only)

that is the wiki words, we sure cannot see under your hood, or read your VIN
and tell you what you own.
In the USA the EPA mandates at least 2, sensors.
on an inline 4 banger engine 2, sensors.(front and rear of cat)
B1S1 and B1S2
on V6 engine, 3 or 4 sensors.
this depend if both banks are Y piped or not, no engine told.
2 bank independent exhaust pipes is 4 O2. sensors B1S1/s2 and B2S1/S2
2 bank, y piped to 1 can is 3 sensors. ,
also in USA calif car may have its own setup, for decades this is true, they have their OWN EPA called CARB. , no country told and no STATE told gets you lies easy.

the service manual covers all 3 engines,
why not read it;.
or google VIN decode, type in VIN and it tells you in 10sconds flat what is there.
if you asked your dealer this they demand the VIN. after all why would they want lie to you.?

Where is location of b1s2 o2 sensor on 05 mercury mariner 3.0 v6

Bank 1 is the side that your #1 cylinder is on and Sensor 2 is the down stream sensor. If I remember correctly, your car only has 3 sensors, so it is the one after the catalytic converter. If you do have 4, it is the one after the bank #1 cat.

I have a toyota corolla 2003 and it did not pass the emission test due to a sensor with code P0175

so get it fixed? no engine size posted. so ???? impossible to be accurate.
or DIY, you have tools? and skills. to do that.
it means the Oxygen sensor has issues.
means bank 2 is stuck rich
bank 2 means car is V6. bank 2 means bank with #2 cylinder loc.

for much better, reasons and test. see here

http://www.scantool.net/software/alldata-diy-1-month-subscription.html

is this the only DTC code.??? no others, and did you use a scan tool
that can read all Toy codes, like P1xxx ? codes factory codes.
if not you missed the boat.
my wild guess. (i do tests in real world)
bank 2 is rich.
due to what?
1: misfiring, ever do a tune up? see fouled spark plugs bank 2, look.
2: injector leaking.

there are lost of tests, im not going to list them all.
but it takes tools and time.
compression at spec. bank 2?
OIL FOULED SPARK PLUGS, there, oops.
or bad COP on bank 2,

Where oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1 is located for a Acura TL 2006?

where, as ON Car?
you forgot to post engine option, so nobody can anwer easy
but Sensor 1 is the sensor ,closest to cylinder 1.
Bank 1 is the bank closes to cylinder 1.
on I4 engines Cyl #1 is closest to the cam, and crank pulleys.
on V6 /V8 Cylinder 1 is that bank that is most forward.
on V egines, on bank sits forward, one rear.
if you told engine , size and displacement, this be snap.
or look it up on alldata.com
or google your real engine type.
guessing, USA>....???

4-5-6

Front of car

so on this V6 , bank 1 is rear, right. see? it above?
and B1S 1 is rear bank, sensor top. sensor closest to engine head.
sensor 2 is always behind CAT, in fact its the CAT monitor sensor.

at a 100k mile replace both V6, top sensors. for max MPG.
they dont last 300k like engines,.
the rear is leave for smog man kicks in behind, only. p420x...

What the sytoms of a clogged catalic converter?

Classic symptoms of a plugged catalytic converter. You may also have a check engine light, with these codes:

P0160 O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0161 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0162 O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
P0163 O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
P0164 O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
P0165 O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
P0166 O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
P0167 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 3)

or simply:

P1484 Catalytic Converter Overheat Detected A catalyst overheat condition has been detected by the catalyst temperature sensor

With the symptoms you are describing though, 99% sure that will be it.

Many times a "clogged" catalytic converter is actually a broken one. Inside the unit, there is a honeycomb-like structure that aids the converter in superheating the exhaust fumes, which cuts down significantly on emissions. Over time, this honeycomb structure can get brittle and crack or chunk off inside the unit, which will impede the flow of exhaust. For this reason, many times a clogged or broken catalytic converter will rattle or make vibrating noises when the engine is given gas.
