My speedometer does not work all of the other gauges work fine I am trying to fine a wiring diagram for under hood by computer

Check your wiring connectors for loose wires. use a safety pin and push all the wires in from the back.

Does it light up ? When you turn the key on do the warning lights come on ? Check engine , oil , abs , air bag etc... just gauges not working ? Does the vehicle start an run ? no, your fuel gauge is controlled by a fuel pump relay under your hood and if that doesn't fix it...it's the sending unit which is inside the fuel pump, inside your gas tank...speedometer is electronically controlled from your computer...if its not working it's your relay which can be found behind your speedometer...you would have to remove it from your dashboard to get to it.

i have a 1991 grand marquis ls and the speedometer is not working but the temperature gauge and gas gauge works what could the problem be thank you

fuel gauge don't work sound like the fuel sending sensor is bad ,and the speedometer check your fuses under hood ,also check that the speedometer cable is not loose from transmission

Hello,I will try to give my input.Try looking under the drivers side and passengers side of the dash.If not there look in the kick panels.The kick panels are as follows;To the left of your feet,sitting in the drivers seat,and to the right of your feet sitting in the passengers seat.If no luck finding the fuse box in the vehicle,look in the owners manual under fuses,and it will direct you to a page number,If you find out there is no other fuse box,or the fuses you find are all good,pull the cluster(where you where talking about,the gauges and ect.)and look for the bad ground.If I can be more helpful,please contact me >[email protected]

check your ingitoin switch (the key) did it to me on volt gauge wouldnt work ding go dead and check guage light would come on

may be some loose contact in wire,,try to take it a good car electrition,,and redo ur wiring for ur dash board

Sounds like you have a broken wire. Check the wires under the fuse panel under the hood. Its a problem with Chrysler mini vans and it might be the same here.

It is possible that the connector came off the back of the circuit board behind the speedometer. Do the lights work IN the speedometer and gauges? Could also be that the ground wire loosened up under the dash, usually on the drivers side. Just some suggestions that I thought might help. Best wishes to you.
