Hi,

You can probably find it only on the receipt you received when you purchased or visit the place you brought it and find out the details if they keep record of it.

Regards,
Sean

Actually It is a Ford 2005 Escape with a Mach 300 audio system The serial number appears to be: 5L8T-18c815-CD largest letter in middle of label ODHC 001269 is the number in small letters close to the...

Hi,
Can you let me know if the stereo is showing any message on the display? Is it asking for a code? I know the CD is not making a sound but is there any sound from the radio when it is tuned in? Are CDs ejecting correctly from the changer?
Was the work on the AC carried out in a shop?
I have some reservations as to whether this problem you are experiencing is down to a simple security code issue and will need some more information before I can advise further.
Many thanks.

2000 mitsubishi galant, changed battery , radio is saying off, i dont know the code, now what

Hi! I had this same problem on my 2000 mitsubishi galant. To get the code, you have to first get the serial number which is labeled on the stereo. I had to pull the whole stereo out of its setting to find the label. Then if you call the dealer with the serial number (and I think you need a variety of other info proving the car isn't stolen) they will give you the code and tell you how to type it into the radio.

The hardest part for me was getting the stereo out of its setting. On my car there is fake wood plastic all around the stereo and air/heating dials. You have to pull the wood casing off (if you use a screw driver around the edges, it should just pop off). Then unscrew the stereo from the rest of the car and pull it out (i felt like i was stealing the stereo from my own car haha). The screw was all the way in the back, closer to the hood of the car than to the driver seat.

Hope this helps. The code should just be a four digit number...for me this was a lot of work for a small problem...but worth it compared to driving around in silence.

I am searching for the stereo code for a galant

Hi:
The only way to get your radio code is from a dealer. You must go in person, with the vehicle, and they need the VIN number ,and sometimes the serial number of your radio. This is an anti theft deterent, and it keeps the crooks from selling stolen radios!

I need to know the name of a part.

I call it a dash trim face but there is likely a technical name for it. Just go to the dealer and tell the parts guy what you need and he wont have a problem understanding. Show him the broken one if you need to. Likely you can get one cheaper in a scrap yard.

Stereo was stolen wires were cut now a/c and blinkers not working

cheapist way is too go to your local junk yard and get the items of a clunker? be sure you cut the harness to the radio ac etc so you can match up the wires ? remember you need to write down the seriel and model # off the junkyard radio so you can call the dealer and get the radio anti theft code its 5 digits like 25143 etc,, they have that info if you call the dealer

It is possible because I did it. I remember it being quite tricky and frustrating. Cant remember exactly how but I removed almost the whole dash and ducting but did not have to remove any A/C components.

1995 Accord Radio reads CODe. Suggestions?

I had the same issue with mine. Call a dealer, they will ask for a number that's on the back or maybe the top of the stereo. They will also need proof that the car isn't stolen and is actually your's before they will give you the code to unlock it. Hope this helps.
