Dash lights stay lit after i used the remote car starter and the unlock button. Now if i use my regular remote to unlock it, the security light stays on and i have to use the remote starter unlock button to shut the light off so it doesn't obstruct my view. would resetting the battery help? I just got the car a week ago

For the security light you need to replace the ignition lock cylinder or bypass the security system. For the other two, you need to have the car scanned to see what codes are in the ecm and the abs module.

You need to replace the airbag clockspring. It is located inside the steering column and is fairly easy to do for the home mechanic. Be sure to disable the air bag system!! You can find this part that any parts store, for about $100.

your door close switch is non-functional. its located in the door jamb. its a black button the size of a shirt button. usually held in by one or two screws.

there is one for each door.

You need to put the key on and push the gas pedal to the floor three times within five second to reset the oil life light.Some g.m.'s have a reset buttom in the fuse panel that needs to be pushed first and some don't.Check the owners manual under change oil for your specific year car.
