My Saturn sc1 manual door locks are stiff and when I place the key in them I can barely turn it but it’s not enough to unlock the door. I can feel a good amount of resistance to the key, enough that if I used enough force it might brake off the key. I can unlock the doors from inside the car but when I open the door using the handle the lock will lock its self unless I slide the lock over before I close the door. I talked to a repair shop and they said something about some rods under the door panel might be bent? My only solution at this time is to leave the car unlocked at all times which is a problem as I'm moving to a city soon. Any ideas on how to repair my car are much appreciated.
Try spraying some white lithium grease inside the key cylinder with a straw that comes with the new can. That should make the key turn easier. The straw goes right on the little hole on the nozzle. Best of luck to you.
