#1. Check the secondary cable which runs to your starter.
#2. Check Starter Relay (unplug, and shake it - sometimes to can hear broken stuff inside of them)
#3. Make sure your cables are tight, and your battery has a good charge. (was it trickle charged ? jumping and then turning the car off will not be enough charge for the battery ; you must charge to 100%)
#4. Check all grounds.
Its very very complicated - Ach! the french!!! ----

Stage 2 - wait 3 minutes.----------
Stage 3 - fully slacken all bolts in sequence-------
Stage 4 - torque to 20nm--------
Stage 5 - tighten by 97 degrees (plus or minus 2 degrees - so 95-99 degrees really)--------

I Would Suggest That You Complete A Engine Cylinder Leak Down Test.....(not A Compression Test But A Leak Down Test) this will tell you if you have internal problems....possible worn rings or a burnt valve(s) I would use a smoke machine to check for vacuum leaks also. Good Luck
It's on the engine, right next to the starter, it has one wire going to it. You don't need to drain the oil. If the light is coming on, you may have bad seals in the oil pan, a fairly common problem, but replacing the switch is a good fisrt step.
the only correct info is at volvo web site ,pay the 3 days and read the info,/or give us more info on pipe leaking,if its a turbo car pass side?is oil lines that leak/drivers side trans cooler lines? what type, color fluid?
