You need to drain your fuel tank completely.

First, disconnect you negative battery cable, then remove the fuel filler tube that goes from the fuel filler door, to the fuel tank. Usually, there is a couple bolts by the gas cap, and a rubber hose with 2 hose clamps connecting the fuel filler tube to the fuel tank.
After you disconnect the fuel filler tube, use a piece of old garden hose or tube to siphen the fuel out of your fuel tank. Once your fuel tank is completely empty, re-assemble in reverse, and add gasoline only.

You must drain all the diesel fuel out of the tank and purge the fuel lines as well or it will not start.

I have a 2006 Dodge ram diesal It acts like it ran out of gas thing is it just died It wasn't the gas I think it might be the brain so how could I don't troubleshooter It

Firstly dont talk and drive as you lose concentration and spill your drink, saciledge .Right 2006 diesel so its common rail ,now first thing to do is get the multimeter out and check you have a pulse to a injector when cranking the engine ,then work from their so if you have a pulse to a injector then its fuel ,now in the tank is a low pressure lift pump which supplies fuel when starting but lots of vehicles dont run this pump all the time ,now iam not familar with this american vehicle as to layout but at the end of the day its a diesel which i do most of my work on here in spain ,anything with more than 3 cylinders has to be a diesel here owing the price of fuel ,right check for a pulse first then slacken a diesel fuel pipe to one of the injectors and see if you have fuel pressure ,then post your findings and we will work out where to hit it and with size hammer that will fix it

Had some gas in a can, so i poured maybe a gallon of it in my tank to make it to station. then found out it was diesel fuel. i only drove it a block and noticed it tryin 2 boggle out on me so i parked it....

Diesel should not hurt your car as long as you did not put to much in your tank. I would recommend that you buy a good bottle of octane booster dump it in your tank then fill it up with a high octane full like 91 octane. That should make up for the difference. Your car may smoke a little bit until all of the diesel is out of your system but it should be fine after that. I hope this helps and if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Someone put diesal in my gas truck

Man what a mess that is, hopefully you didn't start your truck up.
You need to have the tabk grained and flushed.
This is a dangerous repair to do yourself, best to have it towed to a garage and pay to have it done.

If you have to do it your self, be sure to have the battery on your truck disconnected to make sure nothing haopens to make a spark, and have a buddy on standby with a fire extingiher.

Please be careful if you try it your self

98 malibu, cranks no start, good fuel pressure, good spark, pulled valve cover and rockers are moving, starter seams to spin to freely like there is no compression

may be flooded. hold down gas pedal all the way and crank the engine, after a short time the engine will start to splutter and sound like it will fire. ease the gas pedal off slowly, while cranking, enough to get the engine started it may take a couple of goes. it may blow grey smoke when you get it going this will be raw fuel. holding the gas pedal down all the way, the engine will go into CLEAR FLOOD MODE and the injectors will not deliver any more fuel, until you ease off the pedal. check for dribbling injectors and the shop.

Passat b5 tdi fuel delivery problem I have a problem with my 98 Passat tdi 81kw AFN motor. Car won't start, no current on fuse 28-fuel pump. When i connetc 12 volt to the fuse, i can hear the pump running...

How long are you cranking for,if you have allowed to run out of fuel, it needs to be primed, try pouring diesel into the fuelfilter, but I used tohave the 110bhp AFN passat and it would start after cranking for a while and then cut out, then start but possibly cut out again, then start and give it some throttle, should be fine after that.

Car shakes

You need to bring the car to a repair shop and have them drain the tank if a sizeable amount of diesel was pumped into the tank.

How much oil does my tacoma 3l turbo diesal take

the best type of oil for a diesel engine is mobil 1 , and it should be at least 10w40 if not 20w50, I'd call a dealer and ask about the weight. They can also tell you how much oil it will hold, or you can just add one quart at a time until you get it full on the dip stick, I'd say no more that 4-6 quarts total, but I do know that diesel's usually take alittle more that a standard gas engine.

My '95 VX diesal runs rough feels like fuel not getting through,

CHANGING THE FILTER ON FOUR DIESEL WILL only HELP IT-- SOUNDS AS IF YOU HAVE A FUEL SUPPLY OR CONTAMINATION PROBLEM both go through the FILTER so When Changing Filter Try to keep as Full As Possible and Pour into a GLASS Jar let it sit for 10-20 mins. Then you can see the Water (IF ANY) on TOP of the fuel, if you Find Water and Your tank is Low Top Off with DIESEL FUEL this Should Solve your Problem Fuel Filter Must Be REPLACED as Contamints can stow away in it, Bio is Good Both Ecologicly and >>CLEAN will Burn Well > FLUSHING with CLEAN DIESEL FUEL is a good Idea., A VALVE ADJUSTMENT if not performed in a long time or many miles, This can Do Wonders for Your Diesel I hope this helps you with your T L C Have a Good Day and if im Worthy RATE me Accordingly. Thank You, RejakWilson
