'07 cummins engines are not to smoke at all. Cold, hot or upside down. If its smokin, its broken is the motto. '07 's are common rail fuel systems. I think you may have the DPF and the DOC exhaust system needs looked at. If no codes, have the dealer double check with ENSITE or comparable programs to check the engines crank and cam possitiion sensors to make sure they have the same rpm. you could have one going out. If just at startup you have smoke, may just be valve seals leaking. Good luck hope this helped.
