I need Daihatsu Pyzar workshop manual

I have a 1998 daihatsu pyzar. im working on the engine but i got stuck so i need the manual . can anyone help me with this ? thanks

Is it a 1.5 or 1.6 ?

In any case all daihatsu 4 cylinder engines of 1.3, 1.5 or 1.6 are near identical bar the small differences in stroke / bore and combustion volumes.

So a manual for an Applause or charade or even a Rocky will cover all you need to know, here is a link to a F300 rocky / feroza manual.

My !997 Daihatsu Pyzar has noisy tappets when cold, esp. I just adjusted them to 30mm exhaust and 25mm inlet when hot which i found on the web. It is a little but not much better. Any thoughts?

Replace starter motor in daihatsu pyzar

1997 Daihatsu Pyzar starter motor located bottom of engine bay at the back between engine and framework below front window of car

Its in a real nasty place

(see picture)

Very tight space and to remove both starter motor bolts, you need to access it from above engine and below engine

- Disconnect battery connections from battery first

- Disconnect wire from starter motor

- Remove starter motor bolts

- Remove starter motor via top of engine (lots of jiggling involved due to wires in the way etc)

Daihatsu pyzar-car has poor acceleration from standing start

Check for corrosion in the leads as a result of coolant leaking onto the auto transmission computer, which sits above the air bag computer. Note some Daihatsu models were recalled because of this leaking coolant problem (recall announced mid 2012). You can google it.

1997 pyzar 1.5 ac full of gas but ac wont work

CHECK AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH SHOULD BE ENGAGED OR RUNNING WITH AC SWITCH ON POSITION.IF NOT CHECK AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH FUSE AND RELAY.IF BOTH GOOD AND POWER IS GOING TO AC CLUTCH.YOUR CLUTCH IS OPEN.IF ALL LOOKS GOOD YOUR AC LOW PRESSURE SWITCH IS BAD.COMPRESSOR SEIZED OR YOU HAVE TOO MUCH MOISTURE IN AC SYSTEM.
