There is a vent pipe that runs along side the fill pipe, this allows the air to vent out of the tank as u fill, check it for obstrutions or a kink, u will need to remove it to check this out.

GAS SPIT OUT WHEN IM PUTTING IN THE TANK

There's an air return pipe that's supposed to prevent this. Look on the filler neck for a finger sized secondary pipe or hose. Make sure this is not damaged or otherwise blocked.

Spit back can also occur when the tank is nearly empty on hot days. The tank is full of gas vapour and this pressure has to go somewhere. Try adding gas slowly for a couple of seconds, then stopping. The added gas is colder and will cause the vapour to condense, after which you can usually add gas at normal speed.

I was needed for a medical emergency in Florida and left my 2000 Eclipse sitting idle outside 5 months, from winter to summer. The gas tank was full and I didn't have time to stabalize the fuel before...

If I were you, just take out the old gas and put some fresh fuel in. Next time, keep a few cans of SeaFoam in the car. It stabilizes the fuel for up to 2 years (1 oz for each gallon).

Gas doesn't go into tank easily - wants to spit back out. pump keeps clicking off and it takes a long time to put gas in tank. what could problem be? car is a 2000 camry

theres a one way valve in the filler neck of the gas tank and that is spring loaded. it maybe getting jammed up. will need to remove filler necvk and check it's operation. pretty much only thing down there that it could be.

Buick la sabrea 2002

The tire shake may be a tire that is out of balance or a bad outer tie rod end. The tank has pressure on it and when you take the cap off the pressure is relieved. Try putting the nozzle in not so far in to pump gas.

When i put in gas car spits and spudders clears out untill gas agian

Sound to me like you have water in the bottom of your fuel tank. when you fill it the water is mixed with the gas until it settles. put some gas line antifreeze into the fuel tank, may take several bottles. but this should help. if not you will have to have tank taken off and drained.

Can't get gas to go in tank, and it will spit out gas

there is a breather pipe running long the filler pipe, if u look at the furl cap there should be a small hole that lets out air as u fill up, i think that this is blocked .
