The low idle speed is concerned with:
- Pilot jet, idle solenoid (Conventional carburetor type engines),
- Carbon fouled throttle body, idle air control valve, weak cylinder compression, contaminated fuel, vacuum leak, intake manifold leak, ignition system and faulty ECU.

Have the alternator output checked at idle and if the idle is too low incrtease it to spec idle revs. It appears that the voltage in you electrical system is too low for the gauges Check when at the lights take you foot of the brake and put tranny out of gear and see if there is a difference

Low heat, small trickle of bubbles @ the radiator cap, somewhat rough idle once warmed up, idles fine when cool

Bubbles in the radiator when the car is cold is a sign of a blown head gasket. not what you wanted to hear i'm sure but it would also explain low heat. Good luck

2000 Alero idles low and dies when stopped.

How does it idle when you first start or idle when hot.
On the top of the air intake tube there is a small screw which should when screwed in speed up the idle and if it dosent work or it idles fine when cold or warm at idle then its your GEARs are binding up and there's not to much you can do about that ........sorry

C240 wagon (4-matic) idles low almost cutting out at stops

Hi,is never a bad thing to add a good fuel injector cleaner to your gas tank to prevent injectors from getting cloged ,you can try this for two days ,if no diference , check your air conditioner idle compensator, this regulates the idle when you turn the air on and off. good luck
