Most likely a belt problem or a worn out tensioner. You left off the year, make, model and engine so it's a guessing gamet. Read this post on how to track down the source of noise

SOURCE: FRONT LEFT SIDE BRAKE NOISE & BINDING

It may be caused by Disc Thickness Variation, which occurs when the pads brush the sides of an out of alignment rotor. Also, it could be that the rotors need to be resurfaced due to poor surface finish. I have also seen that when the brakes drag on the pads (DTV) that any pad dust will collect in the low spots and squeal after braking. I would recommend dropping the calipers and thoroughly cleaning the rotors and pads off with warm soapy water and a rag. I don't recommend brake cleaner or silencing sprays because they just add un-needed material to a contact surface and can actually cause noise and prevent full pad contact.

See HERE for troubleshooting information from English Brake Corp.

See HERE for Tech Questions answered from Bendix Corp.

I can also suggest checking the hub face with a roller-tipped dial indicator gauge to confirm that it doesn't have any lateral run-out. Run-out of over .002" would be out of spec.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!! Please don't forget to rate!

Thanks -

SOURCE: steering wheel is very stiff.

You will need to check your serpentine belt, and if the belt is good, it sounds like your power steering pump may be locking up. This would be a difficult job, so you may have to take it to a shop. Check your power steering fluid as well. If the pump has a leak and no fluid it may be burnt up already.

SOURCE: I purchased a 2005 Santa Fe..had it a day and

Any moisture that comes in contact with the pulley or belt will cause the belt to squeak, or squeal...this is telling you that the belt is slipping, and will possibly affect the smoothness of your steering manuevers...be sure to check the power steering connection lines before replacing the pump...Hope this helps.

Antifreeze smell

If it's not overheating, you may need to replace the radiator cap. Also look for small leaks at all your hose ends. Their could be a loose clamp on your hoses.

Hyundai sonata power steering

It could be a leaking hose, and the PS fluid is dropping on the hot exhaust. Check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir. If low or dry, look for a leak.
I don't know about the rattling-better have someone look at it.

Dodge caravan 2001 blowing burning power steering fluid.

I can answer some of your questions without being there in person.
The smell inside the van is from fresh air entering the venting system. Not sure why you don't get it from all vents. The fresh air intake is in front of the windshield and will pick up any smells from the engine compartment.
Loosing the serpentine belt would not necessarily cause you to loose ps fluid, but having a leak could drain the pump and damage the bearings in the pump, causing the pump pulley to drag on the belt.
The ps pump could be in the final stage of failing.
And the shaft seal in the pump could be leaking fluid onto the engine and exhaust.

Upper radiator hose keeps leaking coolant, replaced the cuff ring but still seems to leak after a few days from the cuffed end of the hose. Does it need a new hose?

if it is leaking where it connects to the radiator it might be the radiator itself. take it to a shop and they can pressure test. some shops won't even charge for test.

I have a 2000 passat b2b motion the emissions workshop light on,have been told it is the cam shaft censor. yesterday I started smelling a burning smell (can't tell wether it is an antifreeze or oil...

To me antifreeze smells like cat wee but look for oil leaking from there on to the exhaust. I would assume something is leaking on to the exhaust then burning off

I have smoke, white, coming from under hood, what do i look for to fix it?

White usually means a coolant leak somewhere. If it was burning oil it would have a bluish tint and some sort of burning rubber is going to be black. You are going to want to look for leaks coming from your radiator first then moving to the main radiator hoses and any other rubber hoses you can see. Usually these can be pretty easy to find and fix as you just replace the hose. It also could be spraying from your radiator cap. I recommend carefully looking for the leak with the engine running as this will allow you to follow the smoke and hopefully find the source.
