Have same problem. Both visors have fallen. The plastic part that attaches to the headliner has craked in a hundred pieces. Using duct tape to keep the visors from falling in your face. Seems a common problem without much hope of getting resolved from Ford...If anyone has an aftermarket product to fix this, please let me know [email protected]

You unscrew the two bolts and gently take the visor off the mount. There will be a wire attached that has a plastic male/female connection that can be pulled apart. Do this gently. The wire is the power connection for the vanity light located within the visor.

unclip the sun visor from the "latch" side. Using a flathead pocket screwdriver gently pry the plastic shroud away around the hinge side. This will expose the bolts for the sun visor. Remove the weatherstripping partially from around the door if equipped with grab handles gently pry the covers off the hinges with pocket screwdriver and remove bolts (t30) partially remove cover from clip for sun visor and remove bolt (t20). Pull firmly directly out on a-pillar to unseat from pillar. Unscrew the three bolts from sun visor hinge side and gently unseat from wiring guide. You most likely blew a fuse when you cut the wire. check all fuses sometimes the fuses are marked for one circuit but provide feed for other circuits, replace with same amperage fuse.

My sun visor on the driver's side just cracked and

I fabricated my own brackets for my 2004 Ford Explorer to mount (or should I say re-mount) my sun visors after they both crumbled and fell on us. I cut some thin metal (tin I think) and put 5 layers together to form the bracket. If there is any interest, I'll upload some pictures and instructions over the week-end to show how to install it. I'm thinking about offering to make these for $12+ shipping for one bracket or $20+shipping for a pair.

If you mean the support where the sun visor is attached, Yes, the cover just snaps. Then you'll see a couple of screws inside.

I need to replace the passenger side sun visor....how?

I think you are talking about the sun visor for the windsheild, most cars of this erra the visor is held in place by 3 screws. after you take them out if there is some kind of light there will be a plug to unplug.
