My 2002 Nissan quest service engine light came on about a week ago. I took it to Autozone and they hooked it up and PO141(knock sensor)and PO325(heated oxygen sensor) came up. They said I may have bad gas and to wait for a few fill ups before fixing. I did that but the light was still on. Then while I was driving the van started spitting and jolting so I had to put in 2nd gear to get home where the van ran fine. This morning I then tried to start it but it won't turn over. So could this be only a sensor needing replacing or symptoms of much worse. The van has 200,000 miles on it .

I have a 99 nissan quest. I bought it a couple of weeks ago. I drove it from the place i bought it and it drove really really good. I pressure washed the engine, after that, the engine has been misfiring...

That pressure washing can and probably has damaged a sensor under your hood, but I doubt that a bad knock sensor would cause misfiring. Check your other sensors, lots of them on that engine.

The light "service engine soon" turn on in a nissan quest 2000 I read the manual but i'm not sure about if it is a big problem or not or if Is it a expensive problem ?

The service engine light on is not a big deal. you just aren't meeting emissions right now.

Go to Autozone and have them run a free scan to get fault codes.

Just remember this - do not ever change the knock sensor even if it gives a fault code. It is in the middle of the engine and a waste of $600 for no improvement. It will never affect your engine performance, good or bad.

report back with code here or on Villager- Quest website I gave you.

Nissan xterra knock sensor

It's the valley of the engine underneath the intake manifold. It's about an $800 job because the top of the engine has to come off. However, unless you have a supercharged xterra it shouldn't effect performance. Also, the knock sensor will not trip the check engine light, as it does not indicate a primary problem, so if your light is on you should have another code that should be fixed first.
