Air conditioner blowing hot air and has a bad smell

Might be the condincer, does the comprsure kick when you turn the air on. if so you might want to take it to a shop and have them flush the lines out. old as it is it should be done, another thing to check would be the temp snsor for the a/c.

SOURCE: 2004 Yukon. driver side air conditioner not working

you need to change drivers side temp door actuator then disconnect battery for 5 seconds and reconnect after changing the part, turn key on for 60 seconds with touching heater control to allow actuator to program and then it will work.

You might have a leak in one of the lines to or from the ac unit double check to make sure it has kept a good charge

SOURCE: air conditioneer blowing hot air with no leaking fluid and sounds like water is running in dashboard on passengers side

their is a heat shutoff valve located under the hood on the passenger side check the vac. lines at the valve
