My 1988 ford f150 wont start

are you getting spark at the plugs is this fuel injected or carbed try spraying gas in to it to prime it is the coil working did you check the fuse

first change your fuel filter.
then it could be a number of issues. ignition module, fuel pump, distributor... could also be the ecm

How long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check proper fuel pressure, my info says 35--45 psi, so if your right in the middle, somewhere, it should be fine. Have you ever changed the fuel filter? Any hi pressure fuel system, you need to make sure no pressure on the system before you take any fuel lines loose.

Need to check fuel pump pressure. How long since fuel filter was replaced?

You need a new fuel pump. The injectoers require 50 psi to start the engine.

Cap, rotor and wires would be good, now that the fuel system is pretty much brand new.

Could be a clogged fuel filter for tank 1 or could be the fuel pump for tank 1..

U are going to have to replace the fuel pump, the pump is located in the fuel tank.
