Check the wiring on the new lights you have fitted. if there was no problem before then the lights are the fault. there maybe a failure in the lighting wiring on the new lights. shorting out the electrics and cutting the engine out.

SOURCE: electrical problem

Find the ground wire on one of the lights and add another ground wire to a good clean metal surface and see if that fixes the problem. It defently sounds like a ground problem at one of the lights.

SOURCE: '91 Subaru: dash & running lights won't turn on with headlights

This is a problewm I have been researching. On the 91 Loyale there are two headlight relays. The relay for the left headlight also controls the instrument lights and the running lights. If the right relay is working and the left is not, the left headlight will be dim because of a back electrical path through the high beam indicator light on the dash, but the instrument and running lights will be out. I have been trying to find out where Subaru put these relays, but three Subaru service departments have been no help. One dealer's service department told me to remove the large bezel around the instrument panel. I did and the relays weren't there. Lots of luck.

This is a great resource for the Nissan Civilian. The fuse Box Diagram is halfway down on the right. Owner manuals as well.

There is more on them here

and finally some nice images. They make a great Motor Home. We had a guy here a while back who was living in one for a while and then drove it part way across Australia to take it home from his father's home.

I have a 1989 Nissan civilian with a TD42 engine. My question is, does the fuel pump have electrical wiring on it and why?

I think the TD42 uses a mechanical fuel pump. If there is any wires on the pump it will be for either a fuel shut off switch or a sensor of some kind for the fuel management system.

Where can I get timing diagram for Nissan Patrol TB42 engine?

Well here is a video of the TD42: https://youtu.be/aSN5V3uDD7c
I couldn't find much of any information on the TB42, but when i looked up the parts for it like the camshaft and cam gear- the parts didn't seem to cross over to a TD42. So i believe that there is a strong possibility that they are different. If you have a TB42, maybe you could compare that to the video and see if you see any differences.

How do i fix my problem, left indicator starts flashing when turn engine on but stalk will not stop left side or start the right side yet hazards work fine

One of the most important safety systems in the car is the Turn signal system. It can help prevent accidents by signalling to other drivers on the road when you need to change course and which way you'll be turning. It is also required by law to have a car dashboard turn signal indicator that works properly. You will need to wire the indicator in your dashboard to the proper lights and locations in the car. For a standard turn signal indicator in which the turn signal lights are the brake lights, please check this link on how you can do this:

I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8s and my left turn signal and my hazards will not work when running lights are on but the right signal works fine, also the left turn signal indicator in the dash is on

You have a bad ground on the left side. Use a jumper wire on the ground wire near the socket on the left side. If the lights start to work normally than trace the ground wire back to its body connection and repair
