Probably a front wheel bearing is going bad

One of the front wheel bearings are bad. Jack it up and see if one is loose, the noise will usually change if you swerve back and forth while driving. Could also be a rear pinion bearing in the rear axle.

Well for the accelerator problem check for plugged cat converter, make sure engine has coolent and check thermostat/waterpump. check for short in wiring to temp gauge.check temp sending unit,if you have scan tool check for codes and correct if any...
Also for the loud noise ,assuming it doesnt appears when the engine is idle it could be a collapsed lifter. a compression test would help figgure out which cyl it is...you can find specs for this engine on the net...valve clearence is set by removing valve covers, back off rocker nut till rocker clacks, tighten nut till it stops clacking then turn a half turn slowly....hope this helps you out..

You must replace wheel bearings in pairs to avoid loading the old bearing and, in time ruining your new bearing hub it is possible that you have already damaged the new hub

I had the same issue and had to replace the Hub Assembly on the passenger's side...a few months later I also had to replace the Hub Assembly on the Driver's side. My uncle is a mechanic and said it is not uncommon in the Malibu. I hope this helps! Now I am noise free, with the exception of the rattle coming from the dash since day one!

Well, that depends, do you have front-wheel drive or rear wheel drive? With front wheel drive, you most likely have a CV joint problem on the drive axle. The best way to find out how to do ANY repair to any make or model car is to buy (or borrow) a chilton or hanes manual from an auto parts store (or library). They are not very expensive and save you tons of money, by helping you fix the most common, and many uncommon problems, step-by-step.
