Cycle key, on,off,on,off,on & leave on (not start) now count flashes of check engine light, 2 digit numbers. For example. flash, flash, flash, pause, flash, flash, flash, is code 33. or flash, flash, pause, flash, is code 21. Write them down & get back to me. when you get code 55, that's telling you end of message.

1997 plymouth grand voyager runs normally but shuts off when it reaches operating temperature, won't start until it cools down. There is a smell of burned rubber, but can't find anything hot or that can...

First thing i would try is to carry a can of WD-40 or quick start with me and when it quits and won't start, remove air intake hose at throttle body opening, open throttle enough to give a good spray inside throttle body, release throttle, then try to start it . If it starts and runs momentarily, you have a fuel delivery problem. If not you have an ignition problem. Then you can start troubleshooting from there.
Or you can carry something to test for spark. I just find this way easier. Don't know when/if fuel pump has ever been replaced, but not uncommon for them to work when cool and quit pumping when they get warmed up, even though they sound like they are still working. That's where a fuel pressure test would also confirm, keeping in mind pressure may read good when first started but will drop later when warmed up and engine quits.

97 Plymouth Grand Voyager 3.3 engine. The transmision just started slipping. The fluid level is fine and there are no leaks. There are no check engine lights on. Was running perfectly. What is the problem?

I have replaced alot of transmissions in thease vans, i would try changing the filter and fluid, if that doesn't help you may be looking at replacing the tranny.

I have a 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The oil light keeps coming on when the engine is at an idle. If I am driving and the RPM's get up ther the light will go off. I checked the oil level and it is full. I...

How many miles are on your van? If it is alot of miles your trouble is likely engine wear, but if the miles are not that high or you know the van has been serviced like it should be than maybe replacing the oil pump will help the problem. Backing up now, the first thing to do is check the actual oil pressure with a known good manual gauge, not the light in the dash.

1997 plymouth grand voyager v6 3.0L broken timing belt

I had the same thing happen, No, I was told this is not one of the engines that allows the piston to contact the valves. I replaced the timing belt 2 years ago and had no valve problems.

98 Ply Grand Voyager, 1.4K miles with recurring P0305 code.

You say you changed the cap and rotor so I'm assuming the van has a 3.0L? Possible injector problem on cylinder #5, swap injector with cylinder 1 or 3 and see if miss/dtc moves to that cylinder. You also could have a vaccum leak, although they usually won't come and go. Does the vehicle have a consistent miss or do you just have a check engine light?

I have the same problem as jbdnmos

I still don't know what engine is in this van It can be a 2.4 (4 cylinder ) , a 3.0 ( 6 cylinder ) , and a 3.3 ( different maker 6 cylinder ) the engine trans mission systems are made by different manufactures and without this information it's like telling me car is the blue one. you know the problems that happen to the blue ones. Sounds like the exhaust is stopped up
