Check oil filter could be loose.or oil drain plug loose.crank vechicle look under engine area where oil pressure sending unit and timing cover look for fast steady oil leak.if losing oil more likely oil under pressure will leak out more.if you see white blueish smoke when you first start engine could have bad valve seals.

SOURCE: Replace oil pan on my Hyundai accent 2004

You can try to re torque the bolts before you drop the pan and re place the gaskit if that is where your leak is coming from. Good luck and hope you don't have to drop the oil pan.

SOURCE: engine light on 2005 Hyundai accent

Engine Light 'ON' is a warning light from the inbuilt system. As far as your car is driving good, no need o worry about the light.

This is from the electronic control unit signal. This can occur due to some sensor performance present in the engine. Take it to the nearest dealer. They have a diaganosis unit to fix it easy.

SOURCE: 2008 Hyundai accent engine light

if the light is blinking then the computer has detected an emission problem and you should have it checked out to find out why the light is blinking.this should be covered under the emissions warranty if its an emissions problem.either way driving it like this you will cause more problems then necessary.

2003 hyundai accent 1.5L. tapping like valves need adjusted but engine has hydraulic lifters. Do the lifters need replacement?

Probably a combination of parts. Lifters and or rocker arms. Could be dirty lifters also. If your ready to change oil, what I do is get the engine to operating temperature. Pour a half quart of transmission fluid in and let it run 15 to 20 minutes. It's high detergent and helps clean out the lifters. If the lifters are tapping from dirt, this will stop the tapping or at least quiet it down some.

Tapping of valves, might have gas in oil, is my car shot or fixable?

First thing is to find out why you have gas in the fuel. Flooding can be caused by a bad fuel distributor or dirty injectors. Chevron techron and some additive would be a great start. Also change the oil asap. Rings could be bad allowing fuel by but the car would have to have a ton of milage or alot of idiling to cause that usually.

My 1995 Hyundai Accent has been blowing white smoke, and I need to know if it would be worth the price to fix it?

White smoke is a blown head gasket, the engine has to come half apart, it's not a cheap fix. If it's a high milage car I wouldn't.( it'll possibly cost you over $1500.00 to fix)

Oil change

5w30 is preferred especially in colder climates. 10w30 can also be used. For older engines the new high milage oils are helpful.

2000 hyundai accent - bad screeching sound coming from the belts.

hi as the timing belt is toothed it would not slip however it may be loose and in need of renew? as you do not mention milage ie period the belt is due for replacement ? the screech if this above is problem? would/could be the belt slip on the adjuster bearing which should also be renewed with belt i would first check out the alternator/p/steer belt as the loading of belt if slack/worne when starting from cold will give screech as it starts to overcome load of alter and especially p/steer oil pump then noise ceases as engine warms?? if you drop this belt off bfore you first start from cold ? would give an indication of which belt req's attention ? ps! as for age of car/milage? would not ignore the recommended milage for timing belt renewal ? hope this helps you diagnose problem ?
