Factory Car Stereo Repair .... I have nissan maximal 05..the CD part turns on but the cd won't eject...should ... I have a 2005maxima non-bose radio system. ... my speakers is super in my 05 maxima but my cd player keeps on ...
Internal radio problem. There are two plugs for the CD in the radio. One for input/power. The other is for output/sound. If it is an expensive radio, pull the case off, look at the CD player and find the plugs to the main board. Unplug them and plug them back in, hook up the radio and see if it works.(could be that simple) Then reassemble the case. If it factory or cheap, just replace it with an aftermarket radio. This would be cheaper than an electronic repair.
you know the more people i tell the less people know. A cd player in a car has the lifespan of about 4 to 5 years max and we in europe download everything to an iplayer then play our music thru the fm radio(saves space and anyway CDs are now obsolete)who listens to a radio when its all online.....and you can use your iphone for satnav/radio/iplayer.all in one....i even use mine to watch the world cup.....
hello, i have a bose system in a nissian maxima, some reason, my wife was loading cds, holds 6, dont know what she did now it says cd error, had to take it out and take to dealer . cd player would not play, these stereos has a tendacy, to lock up, dont know what dealer did, but they fixed it or changed mine, working now, you might take hot battery cable loose, and count to 7 to clear comp, put back on and see if it works, if you have a remote with it it may be bad
I would suggest checking the owner's manual on what the button does, but you could always buy an FM Transmitter hook it up to your Zune and play music from an empty station.
The trunk mounted 12 disc magazine changer with the Bose audio system is made by Pioneer. Mine is a bit flaky too so I try to avoid unnecessarily swapping out the CD's. Those error codes can mean anything from a defective/wrong disc type (it does not support MP3 discs), a disc being upside down, or forgetting to close the magazine loading door. It can also indicate condensation on the laser lens or a system malfunction. There may be a list of error codes in the owner's manual if you have one, I currently don't.
Assuming you have checked all of the possible human errors above, there are aftermarket sellers that claim you can adapt an aftermarket changer to the Bose system albeit with with inferior sound quality to the original system. Bose is typically well-known for it's audio quality. That being said, the other option would be to seek a repair facility that can repair these changers. There are some places on-line that repair car audio that also might be able to help.
A cheaper workaround might be to hook up a portable CD/MP3 player using a cassette adapter. Assuming the cassette player, amp and speakers are good, you would possibly still get fairly high quality sound from the Bose system.
