I have an 89 s15 gmc jimmy 4.3l v6 2 barrel tbi with starting troubles it floods real easy and seems to be getting to much fuel at startup,so much so ive seen puddling ont the throttle plates both injector spray a heavy fuel stream if the gas peddle is not to the floor(not a fine mist like ive seen on most fi but im new to this viechle so im not sure if thats normal) when it does start it runs fine and will stay running any help is appreciated thx

Fuel pump circuit (low voltage)
Try replacing the fuel pump relay or testing it if you have the manual.

You should probably get the catalitc conveter checked.If you are'nt getting rid of exhaust then you are wasting fuel by blowing it out the tailpipe.
