How can "brake assist" be disabled on a yaris 2014

If the brakes appear hard, you are likely not getting effective braking to all wheels evenly. First, check your brake fluid. If the fluid has become cloudy or black, replace the brake fluid, then bleed all lines.

Inspect all brake calipers for fluid leakage, rotor scoring, and pad wear.

I would suspect that the cause of your "hard" braking is either dirty fluid, a bad master cylinder, or a defective proportioning valve.

Can you show me the picture of brake lining wear and explain what that is? For Mercedes C230 2002

I can't show you a picture of brake lining wear but I can explain what it is. Brake lining wear is your brake pad wear. If the instrument cluster is showing "brake lining wear' ' visit workshop' it means your brake pads have worn down and are now at the brake pad wear sensor.

The brake light has come on, what does that mean?

it means there is either a problem with the brakes or there may soon be a problem with them.

First check fluid levels - second - have someone look at the pads - front and rear - if u have a regular mechanic he will look and advise for free - what year? How long since brakes have been looked at ? Installed?

You can remove the wheel and tire -- see what it looks like if you know what you're looking for - otherwise I will venture an educated guess that you need new brake pads - front and do a visual inspection of the rears.

If you live near a parts place - let them run the code - for engine light on - - this is going to give u a hint even if it says nothing.
