My envoy dashboard is showing a symbol of a car and lock around it. What do I do

My guess is the ignition switch needs changing

I had this same problem with my 2004 gmc envoy. Mine was a key problem. I had a 2001 impala that had identical keys that contain a chip that is read by the ignition switch. Both of my keys were near each other on the keyring and when the impala key was to close to the ignition the truck would not start and the light came on that looks like a lock. I took the impala key off the keychain and never had another problem.

the anti slip braking is coming on is controlled by the out side air temp sensor. when the temp is around 5c to 0c it will come on it advances the abs. and drive. if your out side temp sensor is giving a false reading then it will keep coming on and off.

If i had a idea what the symbol on the flashing light looked like i might have a better idea as to what it could be .

Check your fuses.

sounds to me like you have a bad transponder in your key or reciever in your steering collumn, this is just a guess since you have not given us much to go on, year make and model of the car....
however my 08 shelby cobra did something similar after my keys went thru the washing machine...had to buy a new key

Try pressing the D3 button on your gear shift - little button below the main one. D3 allows for quick acceleration, but the light also shows when the car is locked is gear ('limp home mode') due to another problem.
