Multi-6 CD Stereo Player in my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD-LT Pickup Truck, does play the radio but not any of the CDs at all. The Stereo's Information Display Window, always just shows me a picture of a blinking CD when I try to play any CDs, and it still does the same thing when I listen to any Radio Stations but it also shows all normal Radio & Stereo information (which works fine). When I also attempt to play the CDs in the Stereo, the Stereo's Information Display Window shows me "CD Player Empty", and does not allow me to insert a CD or Eject any of the CDs inside the Stereo, plus I only have 5 Discs inside this 6-CD Stereo Player because I took the 6th.CD out with a thin flat plastic Business Card and some Packing Tape! I continued to try this method a few more times but it just wasn't cutting it! "!" What's the most smart and legit way to fix this problem without having to remove the whole entire Stereo from it's 'Surface', and from taking it apart "!" (??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????) `,=(

SOURCE: CD player (6 disc changer) "locked up"

Take it to the dealership, your G35 should have a 4 year bumper to bumper on it. They'll replace the radio under warranty most likely.

Refer to the Diagnostic Starting Point - Entertainment procedure in SI to begin your diagnosis of this failure to eject CDs concern before reprogramming the radio.
2. Reprogram the radio using the Service Programming System (SPS) with the latest software available on TIS2WEB. Refer to the SPS procedures and the Radio Programming and Set procedure in SI for more information. As always make sure your Tech 2® is updated with the latest software version.

The battery died on my chevy 2500 HD and now the cd player is messed up. when i press aux/cd button it just goes back to radio. but when i eject a cd it switches.

you need your glove compartment manual that came with truck.you have to reset or recalibrate the radio +cd player before it will play.if you dont have factory manual that came in dash.take it to dealership.

2004 Chevy Silverado factory Stereo, CD is stuck in player, sounds like it is trying to eject but won't!

I searched quick and couldn't really find anything on a manual eject button. Flip through the manual a little bit and see what it has about the radio. If all else fails and you aren't worried about possibly breaking the stock cd player, some skinny needle nose pliers should reach in far enough to grip the cd and you can pull it out. But there is a good chance you could break the cd player in doing so.

CD player won't work

Go to your local chevy dealer and get it there, or go to a local salvage yard to get a used one for cheaper.

2002 Silverado- CD played ERR message

This is not a fuse problem, it may be a dirty laser lens or a broken loading mechanism, buy a CD player cleaner disk, if that won't work you will have to pull the unit out and send it in for repair at an authorized GM electronics repair station.
