I have a 96 honda accord v-tec 4 cylinder. My problem is that the radio fuse had went out and my father in law took the srs fuse instead of the radio fuse from under the drivers side and since then the srs light has been on.Can we reset the srs without having to worry about the airbags being deployed.thanks.

Yes there all in there spots.

  • natwister200 Apr 14, 2009

No I havent tried doing that but when we have the radio on the baterry goes dead and the light is still there.Does that count or do we have to disconnect it.

  • natwister200 Apr 14, 2009

No I dont have an amplifier.

  • natwister200 Apr 14, 2009

After I disconnect the battery what should i do if the light is still there?Do you think its okay to reset it.

  • natwister200 Apr 14, 2009

Yes I can pull the fuses out and does the car have to be on well not completely on to reset it like that.I also have another problem i dont know if you can help me but on the same car i changed the power steering pump because i thought it was the one leaking but its still doing the same thing do you have an idea of what it might be.

  • natwister200 Apr 14, 2009

So its okay to reset the srs with a speaker cable like they say.Well i thought it was the old pump but replaced it and it seems to be throwing power steering fluid from somewhere else and i also changed the hoses.know everything like the alternator and the lights are full of power steering fluid well practically whatever is around there.

well you can sproy the alternator down with brake cleaner. the lights may need draining by drilling a small hole or taking them out completly. Make sure the fittings are tight. No air in system.

Need help with dash board lights that went off on 96 honda accord lx. It is a 4 cylinder vehicle with external fuse box

It also has a fuse box on the inside below the hood release. Also the dimmer switch unit could be bad ( to the left of the steering wheel ). If you are not an electrician or dont have any elect. knowledge you might want to take it to a professional.
