Fuse F6 in trunk compartment on my 2004 Chevy Malibu keeps blowing. This fuse provides power to the front and rear parklamps and also the backlight on the instrument panel cluster. The blowning fuse problem seems to have started when the instrument panel dimmer stopped working. COULD THIS PROBLEM BE RELATED TO A BAD DIMMER CONTROL? DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY CLUES TO THIS PROBLEM? One problem may be the orange bulb check. It's located next to the headlight relay on the driver side under the hood next to the fuse box. It's in a covered box too. The soldering gets tiny cracks from age/vibration. Needs to be replaced. Try ebay or your $aab dealer.

Solved the problem -on of the fuses in the relay box under the hood was bad - Although it is not marked well - It says park and horn????

check the wiring from the tailights back to the fuse panel, it sounds like an open connection. if i recall correctly check under the dash on the drivers side near the fuse panel for a bunch of wires in a bundle and look carefully for a wire or two that are cut/shorted/or seperated, you can also check under the drivers side kick panel by the hood release.

There is a interior fuse block (or fuse panel) on both sides of this vehicle AND one in the engine compartment.



I believe the fuse you're looking for is in the panel on the RIGHT side of the vehicle, marked " F - INT. LPS"

To gain access to this panel, simply remove the fuse panel door on the end of the dash.
