The heater blower works but we only get a small amount of air

I would say, check the engine coolant temperature, if that's okay, check water flow trough the heater core. If the coolant temperature is to low replace the thermostat. If the water flow is to low though the heater core, it must be partly blocked, and should be replaced.

I have no heat I have a new thermostat and the heater core dosent leak.

When you say you have no heat is this referring to nothing when control is turned on? Does fan work? or you have no hot air at all.
If no fan could be a blown fuse [blower motor] thermostat could be installed incorrectly or faulty. Could be a faulty heater control valve if you have one not allowing hot water into heater core.

No heat in a 1996 towncar

after checking coolant level, thermostat operation and if heater hoses feel hot(be careful not to burn your hand) the temperature blend door is probably at fault. It directs the air from the fan blower motor either across your heater core or A/C evaporator, giving you either hot or cold air. Most cases the dash has to come out to replace this $80 electronic motor. Good luck, Mr.P

MY 1991 JEEP WRANGLER CARS HEATER DOESNT WORK

If the blower works check for coolant in the cooling system. Test operation of thermostat. Check heater control valve for proper operation if equipped. Pressure test cooling system to ensure system holds pressure (this will help you identify a leak, if any. If car does not over heat and cooling system is in good working order, then the heater core is clogged.
If the blower does not work Check fuse, relay, wiring for short to ground, apply direct battery voltage to blower motor. If blower motor turns on and fuse/relay and wiring are ok replace the switch.

No heater or ac blower and it smells like anitfreeze

I assume from your description that the smell of coolant is in the car.I believe you may have a leak in your heater core that may have shorted out the blower motor. Check for coolant on the carpet. You may have blown the fuse for the fan.Regardless,to be certain you will have to have a pressure check of the cooling system done to see where it is coming from. Heater cores are not fun to do and require the removal of a great deal of the dash.My back can't do them any more.Might be a job for the garage if you're not handy. Good luck

ya its probly the blower motor.but can be the switch. you can check if ther is power at the motor with wire tester. test at the blower motor with switch in diff positions 2 see if it gets brighter as you turn the fan up.and if the lighter doesnt work its probly the liter. or maybe the wire came off the back of the element,

No heat in car blower works, thermostat was changed coolant level good car runs hot

problem could be in the mode switch + check fuse to heater and ac mode switch.if blown your air door wont open and let heat enter inside car.if fuse look good you could have faulty mode switch.if you have climate control if you have a bad in vechicle sensor that will effect air door to open let heat in.this problem would be best for dealership.if dealing with climate control units.you need a quick fix.too cold outside not to have heat in car.

Ac compressort had to be replaced because it seized up. AC ran good for 2 weeks then went out, now the heater doesnt want to work half the time. i dont know if its my heater coil, a leak in my ac lines,...

THE BLEND DOOR THAT CONTROLS HOT TO COLD SWITCHING IS STICKING. THE CONTORL HEAD IS ELECTRIC AND MAY BE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. HEAT AND AC ARE 2 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SYSTEMS EXCEPT FOR THE CONTROLLER UNDER YOUR RADIO. HEATER COIL IS REALLY A HEATER CORE WHICH IS A LITTLE RADIATOR INSIDE THE CAR BEHIND THE DASHBOARD.
