Are there any warning lights on in the dash, may a security warning light? If so you will need to reset the security system, refer to the owners manual or callthe local Lexus dealer for instructions.
Vcs means "Vehicle Stability/skid Control".Variable Skid Control is a part of your brake system. It is indicating that it senses a problem with your brake system.Get the car scanned at autozone service center. Its absolutely free at autozone to get car scanned. In scanning it will show the error codes as per that you can get the parts replaced. Also if in scanning,if no codes are shown ,then also get your brake system inspected.-----------This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.
open the trunk and take down the liner inside the trunk and there are some 10 or 12 mm bolts there to take the tail light assembly off the car and you can change the bulbs from there.
i think this model has a line of bulbs in it ,the later ones use LCDs ,if its the later type then its a complete unit. Most likely if its the early type their will be either a clipor grub screws either side of the unit
Simple fix... Just replace the brake light switch. It is located on the brake pedal arm about 6 inches above the pedal, it will have a plug going to it as well.
usually its either a combo of screws on the outside of the lense and inside the trunk there are plastic washers you have to remove. Also check for metal spring clips. they release when you pull on them.that should help
