As a A S E Certified Tech I Do NOT RECOMEND ANY "QUICK FIX" ADDITIVES Especialy for such a Critical Engine Component

More Costly but Also More effective is to Tear down Engine and Replace Head Gasket as You may have A Cracked Head Or Block That NO ADDITIVE will TRUELY REPAIR PROPERLY

SOURCE: water leaking from head gasket on 1996 ford explorer xlt

It would be to hard to tell and show you over the computer.

The best and easiest way for you is to buy a Chilton manual for your car at the autoparts store. The book runs about $20.

This book is a do-it-yourself bible. It will show you everything you need to know on how to do maintenance and repair on your vehicle.

Why can't i stop the oil leak on the lower bolt on the waterpump

Need to know year and make of vehicle, but oil should not be coming from water pump mounting bolts ,check to see if oil is leaking from above the water pump .it may be just accumulating on water pump .steam clean engine and check, you could remove the bolt with oil around it take a mirror and check to see if the hole goes into crank case or if it's a blind hole ,if it goes all the way threw oil is running down into hole around threads of bolt and out to where you see it , when you replaced water pump do you remember seeing anything on the bolts (RTV, blue or orange color lock tight, if so remove bolt put RTV on bolt and reinstall it(if you decide to use lock tight do NOT use red the bolt will not come out ever again, make sure you use blue lock tight!!!

If you put a long bolt where a short bolt is suppose to go what could happen for a water pump 2001 toyota corolla

The water pump might leak (externally) around that bolt. Worst case would be the bolt pokes a hole into the engine and water leaks into the oil passage.

Have a problem with my isuzu bakkie kb 260 oil and water mix after driving for 20 km

Run a coolant pressure test to look for pressure leaks. I suspect that it will be behind the water pump impeller that corrodes from water turbulence and allows water to leak through pin holes into the sump. It could also be a head gasket of head bolts leaking past the head studs/threads so a compression test may also help. By removing the rocker cover and with the coolant system under pressure you may see droplets of water at a head stud.

Is there a water system diagram available for a honda ballade 150 luxline 1998?

There is definitely no valve there - the only pressure relief valve would be inside the radiator cap. What you see is leakage from a water pump bolt or from the water pump itself. You could try applying a waterproof sealant to that bolt, but it's tricky - allow the engine to cool FULLY, then remove the bolt and hold your finger over the bolthole while a helper applies sealant to the bolt threads. Quickly put the bolt back in the hole so you don't lose very much coolant, tighten the bolt again.

If that doesn't do it, then the leak is really coming from the front seal of the water pump - meaning the water pump needs to be replaced.

How can i get to the fuel pump on a 92 acura vigor?

  • REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
  • Print
The fuel pump on all models except the 1986-90 Integra, is located in the fuel tank. On the 1986-90 Integra the fuel pump is located under the rear of the vehicle, near the drivers side of the fuel tank.

    PRESSURE TESTING

    See Figure 1
On all models, the fuel pump should run for about 2 seconds when the ignition is first turned ON . By removing the filler cap and listening at the filler, it should be possible to hear the pump run each time the ignition is switched ON . It will then stop again until the starter is activated.

    0900c1528004984f.jpg enlarge_icon.gifenlarge_tooltip.gif

Fig. Fig. 1: Checking the fuel system pressure

    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the fuel filler cap.
    2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
    3. Remove the service bolt and attach a fuel pressure gauge to the top of the fuel filter.
    4. Start the engine and measure the fuel pressure with the engine idling and vacuum hose to the pressure regulator disconnected;

    1986-1989 Integra-35-41 psi. (240-279 kPa) 1990-93 Integra-37-44 psi. (255-304 kPa) 1989-90 Legend-36-41 psi. (250-279 kPa) 1991-93 Legend-38-46 psi. (265-314 kPa) Vigor-43-50 psi. (300-350 kPa)
    1. Check to see that the pressure decreases when the vacuum hose is connected.
    2. If the pressure is higher than specifications, check for a pinched or clogged fuel return hose or faulty pressure regulator.
    3. If the pressure is lower than specifications, check for a clogged filter, defective pressure regulator or leakage in the fuel line.
    4. After inspection, remove the pressure gauge and install the service bolt with a new washer.

    REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

    1986-1989 Integra

    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
    3. Raise and safely support the vehicle and remove the left rear wheel.
    4. Remove the fuel pump cover bolts and the cover.
    5. Remove the fuel pump mount bolts and the fuel pump with it's mount.
    6. Disconnect the fuel hoses and the electrical connectors.
    7. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use new sealing washers when connecting the fuel hoses. After the pump is installed, turn the ignition switch ON and OFF a number of times to pressurize the system and check for leaks.

    1990-93 Integra and Vigor
    See Figures 2 and 3
    1. On Integra, remove the rear seat and access panel and disconnect the wiring.
    2. Remove the fuel tank.
    3. Remove the pump flange mounting nuts and lift the pump out.
    4. Installation is the reverse of removal. Use new sealing washers when connecting the fuel hoses. After the pump is installed, turn the ignition switch ON and OFF a number of times to pressurize the system and check for leaks.

    5. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.

Antifreeze leaking for bottom bolt of water pump, do you think it could only be a gasket ?

It could be a gasket, but more likely bolt thread sealing issues. Get some teflon tape, pull the bolt, wrap it and reinstall it. Pressure test to see if you stopped the leak.

A bolt will typically have metal all around what it holds, and usually gasket leaks happen between bolts..
