The service stability light is on

get it scanned,
abs failing? or brake problems.
that noise is bad, get as shop to scan it and check left front brakes.
USA left, = drivers side.

You should have started by getting the trouble codes read. Any time you have a warning message or light, there's a trouble code stored. In the meantime see this post on this common GM issue

take out the part you have fitted and have the OBD codes cleared ,then refit the part and see if the same happens

The stability system is software programmed into the ABS - antilock brake control module also the PCM - engine computer . service engine light DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop or the dealer . You don't have the diagnostic equipment or knowledge to tackle this type of problem .

The service stability light will come on if there is a problem detected in the stability control system. There will be a code stored for this problem. The code will tell the technician working on it where the problem is. You need to get in to have this looked at soon. Waiting too long can cause additional damage to components on the system, depending on what is wrong. The traction control and the stability control system are disabled with this light on so there may be some poor handling/performance noticed with this light on. BotXXXXX XXXXXne, the code needs to be read and then a solution to the problem will be known. The best advice that I can give you.

Whenever this warning or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module has detected a fault, it then disables the system as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

It has 2 functions.

1. to let you know that your Traction and Stability Control System is active. This means that your tires are slipping or your car is leaning and the ststem is actively taking corrective action. This should only cause the light to come on for a few seconds at a time.

2. To let you know that the Traction and Stability Control System is disabled. It may be because the button has been pushed to turn it off or it may be due to a malfunction in the system. Thjis will cause the light to come on and stay on. If it is staying on and it is not because you have turned it off, then the system will have to be diagnosed to find out what the malfunction is that has caused it.

you have a bad senser have to check each wheel well you could have a bad computer also
