Ford Head Unit / Radio Code.

Hi,

If you need a code for your Fords original head unit (radio) then I might be able to help... What I will need you to do is send me your head units serial number.

The serial numbers I can help with start with M, C or L... These serials can be found on the label stuck to the head unit which will mean you will need to remove the head unit from the car.

After disconnecting battery my car radio asks for code. Ford Ranger made in Thailand. Radio model 18D827

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

You will have to go to the dealer to have the unit reset.
It is a security feature for theft.

Real easy. Go to the MB dealership, proceed to the parts department give them the VIN of your car(I used my insurance card) ,they type in your VIN, few seconds... they hand you over a post-it w/ your code.

Go to your car punch in the code and make sure you press OK.

Your done ...radio works again.

P.S. I have a 1999 e320
