Start by checking the condensor fan to make sure it is running while you have the ac on. If it is not blowing check the condensor fan motor fuse that is located in the totally integrated power module. If the fuse is bad it is most likely that the condensor fan motor is bad and is drawing too much amperage and will need to be replaced. Now I am assuming it has an electric condensor fan motor. Make sure that the condensor is free of debris, a dirty condensor will cause high discharge pressures that will cause poor or insufficient cooling at idle.

SOURCE: Air Conditioning - blows warm

Hi

If the fuses are all ok and you can hear the aircon clutch clicking when you attempt to switch it on, then I think it may be time for a re-gas! You could do it yourself with a can of gas from an autofactors, but you wouldn't get the pressure right, and, there would still be old gas in there.

If you took it to a garage, however, they would **** out all the old gas, and then hold the vacuum in there for a while to check for any leaks. Then they would refill to the exact pressure with fresh new gas.

Regards

Geordie

It sounds like your electronic vent actuator has gone bad, it's common to go bad and may need to be replaced. There are tinny gears that wear out and the vent actuator stops working. You can try this, turn the radio off first so you don't have to enter the reset code to activate your radio. Disconnect the battery for 30 seconds and reconnect it, if the actuator has lost it's base line and stuck in the open heat position, this will reset it, just make sure the setting is to cold and off before disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. If this does not work, then it's a bad actuator and Auto Zone should have the part you need and will have the step by step instructions for you to the job you self, I believe the dealer is a $415,00 repair cost for this. Good luck and keep me posted.

SOURCE: Air Conditioner stops blowing cold air when vehicle is not moving

plus one on the cooling fan problem. if it was low on charge then as you slow down, condensor temps and line prressures would raise therefore it would cool at low speed and and not when moving since the incoming air would drop system temp, reducing line pressure and then cusing compressor to cycle. the auxillary cooling fans must be on whenever a/c is on, if not, thats your problem. get this taken care of because if you get stuck in traffic, your engine will overheat also if fans are not running

SOURCE: 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 - The heater blows cold air

the heater blowing cold at an Idle and warm while driving it,is usually low coolant in the radiator, remove the radiator cap when engine is cold, fill to the top,and fill overflow tank to full,if that doesn't take care of it,check the heater hoses at an idle and see if they are both the same temp,it might be a water pump not doing its job.

My 2003 dodge 2500 has air condition issues.at idle it blows cold air as long as it sitting still.as soon as I start down the road and drive a few miles the air stops blowing cold.HELP

On a vehicle 11 years old, I would say
put gauges on it & then leak test it.
Most likely has a leak & is low on refrigerant
& when you move ,you put too many BTU's across
the evaporator from the cabin & it is not at 40 degress
to remove the heat

Nissan Altima no cool air blowing or hot air blowing

Hi!
It appears we have an Air lock scenario and you will need to perform a system Bleed.
Park the vehicle on level ground, when cold remove coolant filler cap, start engine and leave to idle, turn heater on full and blower to max. When engine reaches operating temperature watch and listen near coolant filler, keep clear as gurgling and hopefully a boil over should occur. Top up with very warm coolant and wait as it may do it again.
Check for heat inside vehicle if warm replace coolant cap but keep an eye on temperature gauge as the ~Air lock may have moved on from heater matrix/core so proceedure needs to be carried out again from COLD.
