How to replace Lexus RX330 headlights.

Is it easy to replace Lexus RX330 xenon headlight? Do I need to adjust adaptive front light (AFS) system?

How do I turn on the afs system? I had my headlights fix due to a connect problem and starter replaced when the afs light started flashing? I have turned it to the "on" position and it still won't work! Help!

Replacing the headlights is easy. There is no need to adjust the afs, is is automatically done within the vehicle. Changing the bulbs doesn't affect the afs system at all.

Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS) is used when for example if it was day time and you entered a dark parking garage the lights would detect and adapt to the lighting environment which will then automatically trigger the Bi-xenon headlights to turn on themselves in order to illuminate the road ahead when the vehicle anticipates it is necessary. My low beam headlights on my 2004 lexus rx330 are too high they blind onlooking traffc

Check you have load adjuster in cabin on 0.
if you have recently changed bulbs check they are aligned properly it is quite easy to get some types upside down. The cup shaped bit in the bulb should be under the filament (not on top)

unless they are seperate,you dont,if they are seperate,there is a screw on the bottom and side from the front that you can turn

Why are headlight covers on Lexus RX330 discolored?

the discolouring comes from the actual lighting , can not be cleaned , may have had the wrong type of bulbs fitted at some stage as should be UV free, have to change lights if its causing a problem , go online as much cheaper

Afs mean lexus

Switch labelled 'AFS OFF' is down near the fuel door release.'AFS' means Adaptive Front lighting System (at night with the Bi-Xenon headlights) it swivels either side, pressing that button means they stay pointing straight ahead and don't turn when you turn the steering wheel. You need to push the button again to turn the AFS back on.

Headlights wont work and dash and parking lights come when ignition switch is turned on. sometimes jiggling wires works. what is the problem?

2005 Lexus RX330 HID ballast replacement, passenger side headlight. What is the removal procedure please?

I have a 2005 Lexus Rx330 with HID AFS headlight. My passenger side light went out. I thought the bulb burnt out, so I bought a new bulb. After replacing the new bulb, it happened exactly like my old bulb. It light up lightly and then total black out. What's wrong with it? I thought the ballast burnt. I called Lexus dealer and asked for the new ballast/transformer. Surprised me, they don't know what is it. They told me they only know the wiring harness and the socket, but not the ballast ??????? Could you tell me what do I need to replace?
