How to demounta inner doorpanel to unscrew outer mirror

on the interior side of your door right were the mirror is should be a small cover in the shape of a triangle with 1- 3 screws holing it on under that should be 3 studswith nuts on them there should also be a wire plug there to disconnect the power to the mirror remove the 3 nuts and disconnect the wires hold on to the mirror when you disconnect the final nut so mirror does not damage door exact opposite for reinstallation, i do however suggest getting a haynes or chiltons repair manual for tha particular model of car

1) Disconnect the Corolla's negative cable to the battery.

2) Remove the triangle-shaped interior mirror cover from the top of the
door panel. Pry the cover off with your hands, a blunt plastic or
wooden tool to prevent damage to your door trim.

3) Take out the mirror wiring connection.

4) Remove the door trim bracket around the mirror. Take out the
mounting nuts.

5) Pull the power mirror off the Toyota Corolla.

1) Put the new mirror in place on the Camry.

2) Re-install the mounting nuts making sure they are securley holding
the mirror in place. Replace the mirror insulation.
3) Reconnect the wiring to the new mirror.

4) Install the triangle interior cover by snapping it back in place.

5) Connect the negative battery cable.

remove the mirror switch, theres a hex screw in there,remove inner door lever, useing a panel pullers or flat screwdriver prise bottom of door card straight out, theres about 10 clips holding door card on.plus unscrew door button then lift away

on the door there should be a plastic panel in the area of the mirror if not take the door panel off then you should see the bolts holding the mirror in place may be 2 or 3 .reverse the process and youre good to go.

Pop the plastic cover off on the door....unscrew it and disconnect the harness and pull the mirror out. Reinstall in reverse.

Take off side door panel, screws securing it are revealed, unscrew screws remove them and and the mirror drops off. If the wing mirror is on the bodywork, then the screws should be either in the wheel arch or under the bonnet.

You do need to pull off the inner door panel. After the panel is off, you are going to need to disconnect the lock rods from the outer handle and the key cylinder to the door latch mechanism. You will need a long 1/4" drive ratchet and extension, and a 10 millimeter socket. The outer handle is held on by 2 10 mm bolts, you access them thru the inner part of the door. There is a hole provided, with clear tape over it, that will lead you to the harder to see bolt. After the bolts are out, remove the handle, swap the key cylinder into the new handle, and reinstall. 1. Remove the door inside handle as follows:
   1. Remove the screw and slide the handle forward.
   2. Disconnect the handle from the control link and remove the handle.
2. Remove the door trim as follows:
   1. Remove the 2 caps and 2 screws.
   2. Using a screwdriver, remove the door trim upward then disconnect the connectors.
   3. Using a screwdriver, pry the forward of armrest panel and remove the panel.
   4. Remove the 2 screws and tweeter speaker.
   5. Disconnect the connector, remove the 5 screws and speaker.
   6. Disconnect the wire harness and remove the 2 grommets and service hole cover.
3. Remove the cover and disconnect the power mirror connector.
4. Remove the 3 nuts and outer rear view mirror.

To install:

1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
2. Tighten the mirror nuts to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).

Good luck...

Remove the black plastic trim that covers the interior of the mirror mounting, it just pulls off. You will now see 3 10 mm bolts. Removing them will release the mirror from the door panel. The power wire may be right behind the mirror, by tthe bolts, OR it may be under the door panel; which will make you have to pull the door panel off. The mirror wires are different, depending where it was built.
